It's Day 13 of the July Comics Challenge! Interesting quote below that I found for today. With all my studying landscape painting lately, I now constantly notice all the beauty outside my window and am thankful to God for this beautiful world He designed.

Today I'm working on updating my website. Finished up a new article to gather all my scrapped concept art from my comic: Scrapped Concept Art – Unused Designs from the Comic, “Kindred Not”

@gabriellabalagna this landscape is absolutely great! Will try to follow your tips, I am trembling when I am doing backgrounds every time :cry_swag:

I am actually trying to enter a contest, so I am putting all the little energy I have in this heat to finishing the picture. Barely finished lining one page of s2. More of my glorious thumbnails and a sneak peek of the contest art :sip:

your sneak peek colors are so gorgeous! Amazing warm and sunny, just gorgeous. I vote for you to win the contest. :heart_03:

I still have the text to do on this weeks comic, but it's falling into place, then I've got to figure out a California location to paint for tomorrow. And then I have to agonize about having to censor on (tapas competitor) and how and what I'm going to do about all the bbq sauce that got spilled on the cobblestones...oh yeah, i forgot to put that in this pic yet. iterating again and again to remember what i've forgotten so the continuity monsters don't eat me.

Thank you so much, Jean! Hopefully the full picture will live up to expectations ️ may I wake up one day after drawing something as gorgeous as your landscapes!

Whose effects are absolutely mind-blowing 🤯

Cheching in to say I've finished today's page and even posted it. Not much in terms of update from the last one, but it since I've posted a billion WIPs, might as well show the finished stuff.

Finished page

That's it for today. Gonna start sketching the next one soon.

I was feeling pretty bad that I hadn't really participated in this much which had the wonderful effect of guilting me into working on my comic, so I count that as a win. This is one of the last panels in this part! Almost done!!

DO NOT THE FISH. ANGORY.

Ugh. Rough day, rough page to be drawing on a rough day. >_< Got the panels laid out, got the dialogue balloons in place, scanned the previous page. That's going to have to be good enough today.

I hope tomorrow is better.

@Kelheor Thank you!!! Okay your thumbnails definitely are glorious. And that sneak peek even more so. Like Jean said, if there's voting, let us know how to vote for you in the contest.

@JeanGuillet This looks incredible!

@BarBarKetrab Yes, I'm liking the haziness. So pretty!

@renaissancebadger Glad the challenge helped provide a little motivation. Loving the character's body language and expression in this panel.

Finished yesterday's picture for contest ^^ there is no voting, but you can check it out on Instagram

Also redrew a few panels of revamp and that's it because I thought I would die since 5 am today :pumpkin:
Will do my best to spend some time on illustrations so that my Insta will feel more alive. It's really hard to overcome the "not finished yet" syndrome in art, but definitely very important for me (probably most important).

We're two weeks into the Comics Challenge! I'm glad so many people are sticking with it. If anyone's feeling a little low on ideas, today's quote is a little tip for being creative.

Today, I've literally just been connecting things to create a map for my comic. Working on this has been helping me solve plot holes. It will also give readers a better understanding of the plot.

Still a work in progress:
