I worked on my 3d backgrounds today. Getting a couple things together for the upcoming sets, and fixing up my set of old general Grant's house. His super hip updated midcentury modern pad. With the Jacuzzi in the middle of it. No neoclassical revival for him. Maybe it's even a cold plunge, he's hardcore.

Today I worked for an hour and 50 minutes and spend way more time than I should have warping the money in this panel

I think it just needs shadows and for me to add a tone to the guys boot and then will move to the next one

A few hours later than planned, but Bomeo is finally ready to serve this week!

Anyway, made a nice sketch for another page, finished making a reboot episode (those backgrounds...), now drawing the cover that I had to finish literally years ago

And with these two, most of my major characters' designs will be ready. Only a few more adjustments to be made.

Well I finished my next oil painting yesterday, which I'm really really happy with. I'm enjoying getting back into traditional media, it's just so intimidating to sit there with a brush in hand thinking 'I could totally ruin this right now by doing the wrong thing'. I ended up finishing it in four sittings, but that last one I procrastinated for like a month because I was scared of messing up. Well, needless fears, everything went off like a well-heeled tea party and hopefully the next one I'll have a little less anxiety and a little more confidence. I'll show it on wednesday with the release.

Also I sketched the next week's comic, and here's why i usually don't show my in progress work because who can even decipher? I like to construct anatomy with ellipses. It's scribbly. and my handwriting is good enough to write a prescription with. so. it all makes perfect sense to me and i'm inking straight off this.

Worked for an hour and half on Sunday and two hours and a half today, finished the panel I was working on and did two more. I'm also adding each panel as I finish it to the comic strip in illustrator and adding the dialogs and stuff.

Spent a few hours squishing my stuffed toys to figure out some character designs for the next season. In other words, worldbuilding

Seems like creepy cute critters and highly asymmetric archi models will be part of the main concept

Hnnnngh, well, I wasn't expecting to spend nearly 4 hours coloring that one panel, but now that I have.... at least it's done?

Coloring tomorrow's panel will be much easier. >_<

Days 23-26! Past several days have been very busy for me, so I took it easy and just did some sketches to practice my characters.

Still haven't put in today's 30 minutes cause I'm pretty tired. But after browsing through everyone's amazing stuff from the past few days I'm feeling inspired to go do my 30 minutes.

Still on a few busy days, so didn't get as much work done. I did work in the comic every day, staying true to it and all that, but didn't work on it for as long as I usualy do. As a result, didn't finish the page today, as I should have, but I'm not that bothered by it. What I've spent the past few days doing is definitely worth shaking things up for a bit, not only that, but I made progress on my shading technique. I still got a long way ahead of me, but it does feel good to make progress, even if just a step at a time.

(didn't even get started on shading the rest of the page, so not that much to show for it, but I'm happy with the "panel" I did do)
