July - NaNoWriMo Camp

Is anyone going to participate in the July Camp this year??

I'm debating it. I always feel like being productive and writing the month before the camp/nano actually happens and can't wait a month to start lol

I'm doing it, but instead of doing a word goal, I'm doing a time goal so that if I finish my novel by then, I can edit during NaNo.

I get that lmaooo. For me what happens is that I write like 15k words the first two days and then get super lazy the rest and lose.

You should do it though! It's a good push to work

I'm doing my own NaNo every month anyway so I guess you could say that I'm taking part ...

I might. I have an idea for a mystery/romance inspired by Arsene Lupin and Sherlock Holmes.
But I need to work on my current novel first. It's already suffered from a Writer's Camp in the past.

I'm having knee surgery soon so I dont think I'll be able to dedicate the time to it. maybe next time

Seeing as I've never been able to commit to the "regular" November NaNoWriMo because it's so close to the holidays, I might give it a look.

It's coming up on us fast and I still haven't decided if I want to partake sdlkfhdkfhlsd AAAA

I think I might do a short story idea I kicked around the last two weeks. Where I have the characters and I "dice roll" to get a situation to write them in or about. Kind of like prompt exercises, but specifically these two. I did something similar for nano prep a few years ago with two characters whose story hasn't been written(much) and it was a nice practice to get words done that I didn't have to be committed to.
