Just earned "Member"

Anyone know what this means? I've gotten a couple notifications about badges/achievements/whatever-they-are but I 'm not usually entirely sure what I did to get them or what exactly they do, if anything.

Any other confusing badges people have gotten before?

If you look at "Badges" in your menu, you can check them all out and check out what they are doing.

Becoming a member simply means that you have a couple more powers unlocked here on the forums.

Yeah it says "Granted Invitations" for the member badge.

Anyone know what this means? Can I grant invitations to people? Have I been invited to something?

Anyone know where I cash in these badges for prizes? I wanted the stretch armstrong

The official explanation for it:

*Use the "Invite others to this topic" button for one-click onboarding of new users to participate in topics
Invite outside users to PMs making a group PM*

Since I can not find this button, I don't think it is a thing anymore. (Above post is from 2013)
But you can tag people by using the @-symbol before their username. @lyon

That can also be checked in the "Badges" menu
