Ko-fi Memberships + Patreon

So recently Ko-fi announced the addition of a membership feature which essentially functions in the same way that Patreon tiers do (at least that I can tell). Plus it's open to all Ko-fi users not just Gold.

My question is has anyone tried out the feature and how do you think they differ? In a similar vein which do you prefer and would you consider using one over the other?

I haven't set mine up just yet since I'm not too sure what I want to offer and also have less time due to a new job but I'm curious of people opinions on it and maybe what they would offer

I don't use ko-fi's subscription service, but for patreon I do early access for my series, and I offer monthly tarot/oracle dice readings for my patrons as well.

My Ko-fi is set up with a storefront for buying readings directly. I think the difference in which is better though depends on your number of subscribers. Patreon seems to be better for smaller creators iirc.

Ah well I'm already running a pretty successful ko-fi so i'm not so much looking to branch out just curious about peoples opinions on each platform specifically with the addition of the new memberships feature

but early access does seem like a good idea are the readings finished chapters or whole books?

edit: just saw what the readings are that's very cool!

if you already have an audience on ko-fi I'd use their membership then. In which case early access to episodes is a safe bet, maybe a few exclusive episodes.

I just started hosting a Ko-Fi tier. I'm using it for early access and a special monthly illustration for each member.
I've never used Patreon though.

I should try to use the membership feature... I DO have a Ko-Fi account, but I think I just need more people to support me. That, and trying to figure out what kinds of rewards I could give if I did have a subscription service open.

For kofi memberships, can you post the comic on Kofi (especially vertical format) so people can read there? Or you can only attach a pdf?

if im not mistaken theres a comic layout for the gallery which allows for vertical formatting so afaik yes!
