Let's create an adult/mature/NSFW anthology!

I would be willing to do illustrations and maybe short comics. Also, could you specify what, in this instance, is the line between erotic/adult artwork and pornography? Nudity yes, genitalia no? Sexual nudity yes, graphic hentai-style pinups no? The line between eroticism and pornography is a bit hazy in my head lol.

• Nudity yes, genitaly yes (I don't think genitalia could be a problem, but I could be dead wrong and banned forever).

The thing is, human mind works in strange ways, it's more erotic and peeps get turned on more with partial nudity, so for example: a female in a sexy pose with a cleverly placed object covering her genitalia it's generally more arousing than showing the full thing. So there's that to consider. You can show genitalia but for a better effect on the reader, if eroticism is what u seek, covering a little would make the crowd go nuts.

• Sexual nudity, that's a no, Tapastic guidelines say no no.

• Sadly, hentai no.

• Line between erotich and porn: Mmm, a girl eating a banana can be erotic, and girl puttin' the banana in her P@#$" it's porn.

A man nude with a glass bottle covering his manhood it's erotic, a man puttin' the glass bottle in another man's a"" it's porn.

So explicit representation of the sexual act are generally considered as porn.

Homosexience here it's a fine example of a comic that walks on this fine line, it's erotic, yes, it's sexual, yes, but it never goes full hardcore.

• Ero vs Porn. Round 1: A guy is cuming:

Ecchi/erotic: Shot of the guy's face blushing and then a volcano erupting.
Porn: Shot of the penis ejaculating.

So erotic could be hinting the act, porn could be straight showing it.

Phew I hope this helps, this is my little take on it.

I can do 15 min bloody (and messy) doodles like this to go along with short stories or something! I can draw guts and gore too, they're fun. I like guts and am unphased by body horror.

Here's a bloody scene from my comic. I got no problem with drawing this kind of stuff, but I feel some people might take offense with the amount of gore I post. Most of the time I hide this kind of stuff behind dialogue

OK, I updated the description in my original post with @Menbung's guidelines about erotic vs. porn (awesome stuff, by the way, thanks). There's 8 of us, so far. If we can pick another 3 or 4 people, then I'd say we can get this thing started!

BTW, I'm ok with creating the group account. You can send me your stories/illustrations and I will post them, if that's ok with everyone.

Two more questions:

1. Should we create the anthology and publish it on Tapstic in one go or should we publish, say, a story/illustration regularly to completion? If so, how often? One a week, twice a week?
2. Should we add something explicit about no pedophilia and no animalia, or do these fall automatically under the no porn label?

I think we should publish regularly to completion, like other Tap series to get more exposure, and I believe those two automatically fall under the "no porn" rule.

This is really nice, but you have explicit acts that I'm afraid fall under the porn label (although I personally wouldn't see your particular comic as porn - but I'd rather not get into arguments about how fuzzy this interpretation can be), so I'm afraid we can include this.

Currently, I have a violent story with some gore and a little nudity in the back burner, so I'll volunteer that once I clean it up. Sorry I can't give a preview, not even in private. Still, if you wish to have a look at my current comic (rather NSFW, but still VERY tame, compared to another long story that will start next year), here it is.

I was more under the impression that this anthology would be published outside of Tapastic, since Tapastic doesn't allow blatant NSFW content, and thus would make it kind of hard to publish a NSFW anthology. Most of the examples given in the guidelines are examples of ecchi-style humor and ecchi comics, which are not really my bag and also not really mature or NSFW... I apologize for jumping on this project before any rules or details were hashed out, but I'm gonna have to back out of this one. ;o; I wish you guys luck!

I'd be more than happy to publish something outside Tapastic as well as here, and I also don't jive completely with some of this anthology's stuff, but the idea was to find more readers interested in NSFW/mature comics here on Tapastic, since we can't ever be featured. So, from my point of view, we can also open a separate thread to create an anthology outside of Tapastic, although I am not sure how "nice" that would be... Feel free to send me a PM, if you'd like to discuss. I'll delete you from the list, meanwhile.

Well the intention was to publish it on Tapastic, and my examples were just that, only examples, the content of each episode is entirely up to the creator, it doesn't have to be ecchi-humor (as I said, that was just an example).

The question made was the line between ero and porn, and the answer that was given used ero and porn as examples. Maybe that caused some confusion.

I too vote on publishing regurlarly to completition, that could be season 1, if peeps like it and we feel like doing it again we can make a season 2 with a new batch of works from each creator.

OK, what about this:

1) If we get at least 10 people within the next couple of weeks, I'll open a new account for the anthology
2) We will decide what to call the anthology: ideas Menbung floated around were "Gate of Hell", "Tapastic at Night" and "Midnight Riders" (I think). Feel free to suggest more.
3) We could have Season 1 complete - meaning, all work must have been submitted to me privately by 15 October - and start publishing it around Halloween -> again, subject to vote
4) We should really advertise this to our subscribers and invite other artists to join. I am new to the community, but I can for sure ask my very few subscribers to spread the word
