Here's my novel: Strange Country
They raised Caspar Shaw to be a monster hunter. Using ruthless precision, he takes down even the fiercest of supernatural creatures, from lumbering fleshgaits to siren-eyed succubi. However, this isn't the life he longs for.
Against his family’s wishes, what Caspar really wants is a normal life, with normal parents, friends, and a job.
But hunters rarely get happy endings.
So when Caspar's mother and uncle go missing, he gives into fate. He sells his soul to a demon, one of the most repugnant and fearful creatures a hunter can have the misfortune of encountering. In return, he gets a loyal friend to accompany him on his journey. Or at least, a demon pretending to be his friend.
Only time will tell if Caspar can save his family, avoid his premature demise, and understand the true nature of the entity he’s contracted.
I'd like some thoughts on the prose at plot, but feel free crit other aspects.
