People, let's make a list of sound effects used in comics, like ''POW'' or ''ZAAAP''..
It would really help some people (including me) ^^

I love sound effects but I am so bad at using them myself. I really need to do that more in my comic.

I bought this book years ago to help me with onomatopoeic stuff. It's not too bad, other than you get some unnecessary repeats, i.e
AAAAA
AAAAAA
AAAAAAA
AAAAAAAHG

If I can get my scanner working again, I'll have a go at scanning some of the more useful pages.

I write a Shakespeare-inspired comic, so quite like using sound effects in cod old English (Thwacke! Whammeth!). It's a gag I borrwed from an episode of the 1960s Batman TV series with a medieval-themed villain. There's something nice about having sound effects that reflect some unique quality of your own strip.
