So here's the gist. I'm not looking to hire somebody (I so don't have the money for that rn.) I'm looking to work with somebody as partners to create stories we're both interested in. I have quite a bit of experience writing professionally. (4 (sort of five) gigs since I was 15, currently 18.) and also finished in the top fifty for the True Love on Tapas Competition, if that means anything to you.

I do have a few ground rules that are important to me for anyone I want to work with

  1. Kindness: let's try to talk to each other kindly and interact professionally, even while we're still deciding whether we want to work together or when we have disagreements.

  2. Communication: It's essential to being able to work as a team with anybody. In my opinion, more communication is almost always better than less, even on the smallest details.

  3. Compromise: if we work together, we have to be willing to give and take to try to come up with ideas we're both happy with, and that are as doable for each other as possible. (This could mean my shortening scripts for convenience, or a character's skin tone being darkened for proper representation)

which brings me to the last point

  1. Equality: I really don't want to work with anyone who is going to have an unfair bias against people by their ethnicity, age, gender, or any other demographic.

My goal for working with a partner would be for us to split the proceeds (if any) of any projects we work on. I realize that art is the harder part of the process, so I'm willing to give an art partner the larger percentage of the proceeds, though exact details would be worked out if we agree to work on a project together.

If anybody wants to collab for something other than the Global Comic awards, this is what this thread is for.
