@quintellit Read it all. Itās cute. The dialogue is fairly entertaining, I laugh occasionally, and the art has a crude charm to it that by the latest chapter does look pretty good at times.
The story and characters I donāt really care about so far. I donāt have a reason to care about Oliver yet. He fell out of the sky, and is a generic likable determined MC. The rest of the cast feel pretty surface level, outside maybe 1 trait, with typical anime writing + comedy filling in the rest. Why do I care about this trio becoming mercenaries? Iām still not entirely sure how this world works. And I canāt really judge how big/populated their locations are based on the art.
The pace is pretty slow, which Iām normally for, but it feels detrimental here when the time used so far hasnāt built much attachment to these characters. With the slow pacing + long gaps between episodes, Iād rather spend time progressing the characters and story than prolonging this trial fight with the guild master.
Do you know what direction you want this story to go? Do you want to stay mostly comedic + lighthearted? Do you wanna go a more dramatic, adventurous route like the games?
I commend you for still making this for 4+ years. I still had a good time reading this, from the light dialogue and it being about Pokemon. But as far as a legitimate story I should feel invested in, or characters with discernible traits, the writing needs to work much harder. Whether that be dramatically, or comedically.
