I think the description of Guy A is lacking. While it sounds very noble and romantic, "I'd give up everything for my love" is a really boring character trait, and not actually a basis for a relationship of equals and partners. If he's a really giving and loving person in general, it'd be nice to know that in other ways, so he comes off rounded and loving instead of desperate. Also, like, whats fun about him? What does the MC love about him? What does he love about MC?

Guy B I think it really depends on the kind of person MC is. For some people, a partner flirting with others would really be crossing a line. Especially if she is a more insecure person, this would be really hurtful, and it'd damage trust between them. If she's more confident she might either not put up with it, or she much understand it's just play and trust him. It really depends on the dynamic.

Wow, thank you for giving me this perspective. I was genuinely happy that you noticed the word "faithful" that I intentionally put instead of the word loyal. I, too, know the difference of loyal and faithful, in fact, we have the same definition. This really helped me see these characters more deeply which I wasn't aware. Some of the guesses aren't hitting the character's description but everything you said is indeed realistic. And also, pointing out that Guy A must be naive or knoe what love is enlightened me. Also, suggesting for the girl to return the favor of flirting back, I do see her doing it and I think it would be a very good counter attack since the Guy B was never been flirted by someone.

I could really use this perspective of yours since I haven't been into a relationship. This greatly helps. Thank you for the time

Honestly, what is your protagonist/person who these two guys are after like? Does she not mind guy A being a little possesive? Does she not mind B being flirtatious? If she has issues with one, go with the other.

EDIT: Or better yet, she doesn't have to choose and go poly.

Hehe, I started my protagonist with 3 L-interests with the full intention of letting her have 2 of them in the end.

I really couldn't see it any other way because both offer something unique to her and missing one would leave a hole in her life.
And now I'm working on the sequel where the L-interests develop their own relationship to have things neat and tidy.

I present to you the option: why not both? I'm kidding, if poly is not in your wheelhouse. honestly do whatever your story needs and what fits best. Think from the perspective of your MC: who would they go for? What makes sense for them? Think about what connection they have with each other and what flows from the plot you've set up.

Guy A and B have their own qualities and characteristics. One is decent, a provider, will love you unconditionally no matter who you are, he's capable, knows your worth, a good guy, your happiness is his priority, and keep trying his best to prove his love despite his naiveness.

The other one is down-to-earth nuisance, sometimes weird, he use sarcasm to insult people but directly says what he thinks/feels about you, reliable, flirty, good in handling kids, a good cook, loud, packed with secrets, faithful, overprotective, a troublemaker, looks like a womanizer, and will not hesitate to do the dumbest thing.

The girl, on the other hand, her standards is not that high. She only wants someone who will accept her despite the fact that she is not blood-related with the family of her sister since she is adopted (Guy A already knows this but he likes her not because of her attachment to that family but because she is she (even if she's the poorest of the poorest or the ugliest of the ugliest, Guy A will accept her because he already know how beautiful the girl's character is; Guy B, well, status, standing, economic, name it all, it doesn't matter to him even if she have the same troublemaker-mind like him, he won't mind it; both fell in love with her charater). She also wants a man where everytime she looks at him, she sees love. She wants someone responsible and shower her with attention. She won't mind your flaws because that what makes us human. She also wants a man who will talk out what he thinks and won't act like a puppy just to please her, she wants someone true.

Hahahahaha! No need to whisper, it's already been planned to mass murder people in my story. Hahahaha! Maybe not all but people will die. Despite the fact that my story would lead into a dark path, these characters really is testing my patience and decided to make romance. Maybe I'll make their lives more difficult for giving me this problem.

Yes true! I mean, It's not like I want to act confident because I am confident, but yeah, same as you, I only act confident when I needed to and I am completely comfortable with it. I think the right word to describe it is not 'confident' but more like 'competent' - like I know my skills well that's why I act with confidence ^^
Also can relate with your experience, true, guy A will be the type of guy who will likely act to be bothered once he found out that you're not 'his ideal' type of girl.
Guy B on the other hand already knows he's not perfect, that's why he knows how to accept your flaws, and he may not be good with words but he knows you well enough to know there's something wrong, he asks you because he wants to confirm if you are comfortable talking about it to him, he knows his boundaries too. What he likes the most is for both of you to bring out the best in each other ^^

You know, when you mentioned Guy A being naive, I think guy A's possessiveness is probably a result of Guy A, despite having everything, has never actually choose something himself so when he met MC, he thought that for the first time he actually wanted something that's why he wouldn't let go --- this character actually has a lot of potential for development too, like for example what if he finally knows how to 'let go' because finally what he thinks of as something 'best for the MC' is not actually the best for MC because MC is the only one who can decide what's best for her. If your readers was able to see the development of both characters the rivalry would even be more interesting after that~
(my evil thoughts: and then add a twist: if you could make the readers take sides as the story progress and when the sides of two ships are already established and divided go for both XD jk)

Your suggestion is indeed evil. Hahahaha. And I love the way you mentioned the art of letting go, ​Guy A and B, I already have possible scenarios of what would happen just in case they weren't chosen and letting go is one of them. I have a lot of new plans for both men as this thread becomes longer. I could really see Guy A have that kind of development in the later part of the story. He is indeed a character with lot of potential. I really wanted to invest lot of time to these characters without shadowing the protagonist of the series. These three are just side characters and since I have no idea anything about romance, I was stuck with this problem. The other characters were already molded based on my perspective and I think they're already good to go. With this perspective of all of these people helping me, I'm really happy that finally, I have an idea on what to consider and how to properly decide on how the girl decides whether she choose someone from the selection, or find someone else, or choose none.
