So... it's a feature indicating that this is your main series like.. something you constantly update apart from the other one's that you've uploaded?

I see. So, if it's like the completed series button then as of now it has no use, right? I tried it and didn't see any change, it could possibly tell subs in the future what you're focusing on . To be fair it'll be nice to see where this all leads up to though.

I think it'll require some testing and taking the time to gather more data, see what shows up and what doesn't. I haven't tried it myself but I'm wondering if it'll showcase the information on both mobile and desktop platforms or only one. I'm also curious if it has to do with that one post about creator badges. So when you select your main series that's the one featured along with your badge? It's only a guess though but I'm certainly curious. I didn't even realize it was a thing till I saw this thread.

I saw that button too. I accidentally clicked it (and then couldn't unclick it), which I guess is okay since it's my only series. But I'm curious as to what actual purpose it serves and how it will be helpful to readers

It's seems like it's still in the beta testing. But an announcement from the @STAFF about what this things do will be much better though.

I made some experiment but in the end I still can't tell the difference.

I clicked on it, but I can’t seem to turn it off. So I’m curious about what it does, especially since I don’t even update that series anymore.

I have a feeling that button moves your "main series" to the topmost spot on your profile page. But do check to see if that's the case.

I wonder if it changes the title block color in the popular/trending/fresh tabs as well, or if it's just on your creator page.

Hopefully this feature gets developed more than the "finished series" button, being able to mark a "main series"will be really useful for me since I have one ongoing project and then a bunch of minicomics.

You can't turn it off, but if you have multiple series you can switch which one has the tag. If you really want to "turn it off" I suspect you could make a blank series with no episodes uploaded and then mark that one as your main.

it requires you have at least one episode for you to mark it as the main series otherwise it's not possible to mark a blank series as main

I accidentally clicked on it too.. I really hope it isn't the same thing as the complete series button

I think it has something to do with a topic a staff member here posted a while back showing a change they wanted to make with how creators were displayed. It involved badges and a shorter view so that you don't have to look at the whole profile (maybe a new browsing mode IDK)

But in that image it showed 'author of ___ and 4 others' so it could be a sign that they are in fact rolling out that new creator view, and the main series button is to designate what is named and what is an 'other'

No changes that I've noticed YET, but big code changes take a while to roll out so we just have to be patient ^-^

Dunno if it's relevant.

Or means anything at all.

But for some reason my "Main Series" gets 50+ views even if I don't update it for more than a week. If it's doing something, I like it.

My main series gets less views than my other ongoing one, tho that's probably because of how GN is getting promoted.
I'm not really sensing a difference so far?

If you go into the creator's tab on the app, and check out novel creators it says "name of your main series" and "x number of series" more.

The app takes up so much space tho xD
So basically the main one gets a bit more exposure on your page and that's it?

I'm unsure, I think it also changes the banner behind your series, but then again my most recently updated series is my current main, so I can't say if the banner is related to the main series or the most recently updated one.
