Making A Better Cover For My Comic! Thoughts?

Howdy!

So I've been in deep thought as of late about my comic's cover.

I was super ultra mega lucky to be noticed by a kind person in the Tapas Community team who promoted my comic on the community page. And my comic was placed next to a comic which had an excellent cover page. This made me think, hey if my cover is the first thing people see, I want it to MAKE people want to click it, like this cover does. The cover I had, well, it didn't spark joy anymore, so I thought it had to change. So, without further ado here is the result:

Let me know what you think! If you think the first one is better I can always use the new one for promotional material or something. I'm just not sure what other people like lol

the new cover is great, it really makes me want to read it and understand the context behind it.

The second cover confuses me. They both look good, but I can't really tell what's going in the second cover.

P.S: One of us needs to change something!

Guess it's a good thing I re-did it! Better clarity haha

Also this is quite awkward...what are the odds...

I like both of them but I think the new one fitts better. On the old I like how the character looks straight to the reader and it has a really nice play with darkness and light. But in the second one, both character have a time to shine and the drawing looks very dynamic and interesting.

P.S. really nice and clean art. It's not a genre I'm interested in but it looks great!

The new one looks much better. The old one looks strange with the eyebrows over the hair and the different distance to the eyes. The back of the left person's head is barely recognizable as such.

Thank you so much!! I'm glad the second one fit more, everytime I looked at the old one I thought it was shame that only one of the characters had the spotlight haha

Definitely agree! I didn't realize her eyes looked so off until you mentioned it. Yikes!
