We do get a sort of copyright by publishing here on Tapastic. (it's in the rules that if we make our own stuff, it's "copyrighted" under Tapastic.) We own our work, so it should be only distributed by our standards.

I am against bullying, but I would not mind sending a mob of fans over there to leave comments on the website and force it to pull down a little more of their stolen art.

Legal action takes ages, taking down a site takes a very large bunch of friends to request access till the servers start lagging... I'm usually for legal justice, but when it comes to the Internet, let's be realistic, it falls under international justice, which is made of grey areas. I wouldn't be surprised if this site was owned by a ghost company so the people behind it can run away with the money when they start getting into too many lawsuits. That's likely the worst situation because your lawyer will still want to get paid, which means fat loss for you, considering your foe has vanished and won't pay for their crimes nor for the legal procedures.

...Call me pessimistic, but when it's like this, I still think that violent takedowns of the sites are more practical. Not that I'm encouraging anyone here to try to do such a thing, of course. This situation is plain apalling. And that site is apalling too.

I would like Tapastic to try and help since they probably do have lawyers and since the content stolen was clearly from Tapastic as that's the only hosting site the stolen content has in common.

I'll be sending them an email myself but if my past experience is any consolation, it's probably not going to help much

Indeed. A lawyer is very costly, so unless you've got money to throw out the window in sheer ecstasy, you probably can't afford it. However you can fake being a lawyer yourself and play it all with bluff... It takes to know the law a minimum though, and easily to get some templates of this kind of communication... They picked anything that was remotely manga and had audience on Tapastic. This site is clearly just trying to steal things that people might be susceptible to pay for, no matter it's porn or not.
As for the location, someone mentioned Indonesia or something, but seeing how it looks, it might be anything like China or whatever. In this case, they won't give more damn about pretenduous lawsuits than they gave about stealing your comics. We're not talking about civilized persons here, we're talking about thiefs with no consistency in their own content.

The only hope to fix this would really be to stress the servers enough to take down the site, or find a hacker who can f*uck it all up. Sorry for all those who've been infringed.

Digging up more, I can tell that 100% of the comics featured there are used without authorization. The site was created today. Chances are that the owner Tya Restami has done this before and got busted. For effective action, contact the host at https://www.digitalocean.com/

The registrar is Asian and doesn't have anything in English, so it may be more difficult to make your case. But Digital Ocean is based in New York and seems to be a reputable company. Hit them with everything you've got - Twitter, Facebook and so on and they will take action. The only problem is that guys like Tya Restamin just move to another host when they get busted.
