Legal action takes ages, taking down a site takes a very large bunch of friends to request access till the servers start lagging... I'm usually for legal justice, but when it comes to the Internet, let's be realistic, it falls under international justice, which is made of grey areas. I wouldn't be surprised if this site was owned by a ghost company so the people behind it can run away with the money when they start getting into too many lawsuits. That's likely the worst situation because your lawyer will still want to get paid, which means fat loss for you, considering your foe has vanished and won't pay for their crimes nor for the legal procedures.
...Call me pessimistic, but when it's like this, I still think that violent takedowns of the sites are more practical. Not that I'm encouraging anyone here to try to do such a thing, of course. This situation is plain apalling. And that site is apalling too.
