I've grown pretty tired of the words cute and hug. Coming up naturally in conversation sure, maybe. But when the most that can be said is "omg __ looks so cute" or "i want to hug __" it gets old kinda fast. Not that I don't appreciate people who like certain character designs or the personalities of a character but when does it get to go beyond that point of just being "cute and huggable"

Someone wanted to ship a mentor character with his underage student. I told them that's fucked up and the character is practically his father so it's borderline incest as well. They got all upset of course.

Bonus I got stoners on one of my comics asking what drugs I take and I told them I don't and my comic doesn't condone drug use, that scared them away.

Another bonus I also got perverts trying to rp weird sex scenarios on my non sexual comic and when I told them to stop, you're creeping me out they got offended. Yes, they got offended. No sense of shame or boundaries, i'm the one at fault here. I hurt their sensibilities, oh how ironic! lol

I got told to use cel shading because everything other than cel shading is "dirty"
and quite a few times I get to told I'm not allowed my own style of drawing & that I should just copy someone else because apparently being original is some sort of sin that greatly offends people

That's the problem. they don't have patience and they don't want to become a patreon and read further ( that's if you have that feature) I don't get it and it's annoying. but just take it with a grain of salt. if you had replied negatively they would have told you, "wow I guess you cant take constructive criticism". like that,'s suppose to be one. that's just a hateful comment. silence is key. that's what I tell myself if I get a crazy comment. because at the end of the day, they are not being strapped to a chair and forced to read.

This is the only one I've gotten so far. I won't pin it on the hateful side but I was a bit put off by it when I saw it. I wasn't upset or anything. my comic is BL and I choose to make it mature and my readers know this. so yes, there is going to be some element of coitus and I'm sure this person knows this. so when I saw the comments I was like "OK..?" like isn't this expected, then I thought ok, maybe I may lose a reader, but no, this person still reads and matter of fact, they praise the main character and leave comments almost 75% of the time. so it got me thinking if it's fake like, why are you still reading? but honestly, I'm glad they are. this just shows you that people will always say what they feel like but at the end of the day I think they will still stick around to see where it goes. so what did I say to that reader? nothing. like I said earlier, silence is golden. I don't have time to exchange words. I just want to grow my fan base and enjoy my creating my story "simple".

This one is definitely the most WTF comment I've ever received. It was on a page where a character was hiding, so I honestly don't get this interpretation. However I got a really good laugh out of it, so no harm done. But I learned that the Webtoons comment section is a wild place compared to Tapastic, heh.
