This is probably my most favorite scene in Daring Enchantment. Robin is actually a side character, but he's so fun to write!
“As you can see little messenger, Kita can not answer any messages at the moment. It will be at least another day or two before he wakes up. You should tell whomever is trying to contact him that they will have to wait.” Robin laid down on his side next to the hedgehog, his head resting on his fist as he spoke.
A pad of paper and a pen appeared in a flash beside the tiny thing. Robin blinked, looked down at the paper and bit his lip, trying not to grin. “Oh, I shouldn't.” he said and rolled away to balance on his heels, “but I could.” he shuffled on hands and feet to get closer to the paper, “maybe I shouldn't,” he said and rolled onto his back, flipped over, and landed on his fingers and toes, a wickedly mischievous smile covered his face, “but I will!” He scooped up the paper and pen with a laugh that echoed through the forest.
