NaNoWriMo 2015 for graphic novel scripts anyone?

I did NaNoWriMo last year and found it be fun and encouraging just to be in a mad creating frenzy at the same time as so many other people around the world! So this year I am going to write out a script for the graphic novel I want to make for PAWS. I know it's not technically a novel, but I needed the external deadline and there's never a better time than now, right?

Anyway, I'd love to hear if anyone else is interested in doing this in November with me. Go go 50k!!

I've got an entire trades worth of script to get writing starting Sunday. I'll be right there with you. I've got my outline ready (though of course I'm looking to rework that again at the last second). Ce la vie.

They have local meetup info & forums too if you want to have mutually angsty writing sessions with other Nanowrimos. I like the stats page personally - especially when it projects how long you need to finish. It can be comical when you're just starting and it says you'll finish in like 2048!!

NaNoWriMo is really fun! I've done it twice, in 2008 and in 2012, although both novels I wrote were pretty bad XD I think that happens to a lot of people. At least I won! Anyways, no time for NaNo while I'm busy with my comic! Not that I have a novel I'm dying to get out right now... I'm actually at a loss for that, which has been making me sad :c

This is my tenth year participating, so I suppose that makes me a bit of a veteran? I don't write comic scripts for it, just straight-up prose.

i'm definitely considering working on some comic outlines/scripts for nanowrimo this year, but i almost want to drop everything and just write a novel instead ?? i did the national graphic novel writing month in september so i've put a lot of time into my comic projects already this year, but idk where to go from here
good luck with your project, tho !! it's a lot of work but so worth it

Buddied you! I'm aiming for 50k words for a script, but honestly, some of that will be overly long descriptions of the settings & details in the art that I want to include. I have a bad habit of starting late and then working in sheer panic to catch up, but it eh... it works!!!

I was wondering if anyone did this for comics! But this year I'm frantically trying to do a contest entry so I won't have extra time for script writing. But I guess trying to produce a whole short comic by the end of November is the same thing, right?
