Yesssss exactly. I'd been using Word for forever, and got Scrivener for free one Nano year and write all my bigger projects in there. I like that it's not page-based, and that there are folders I can use to organize my novel in.
@nostalgicroxas If you can get Scrivener for cheap or free, I highly recommend trying it out. Tbh, I don't utilize most of the features in it, I just use it for the organization panel. Instead of having 15 disconnected MS Word documents, I can have 15 folders in the same Scrivener document, one click I can open them. I can have multiple documents in each folder, and multiple types of documents.
Plus, the snapshot feature is so useful. Don't have to rename the document each time you want a snapshot, scrivener has that built in and you can easily roll back to different versions.
The interface isn't my favorite thing ever; I definitely did some training videos to get my bearings, but I will never write a long novel in MS Word ever again
