Need artist for collaboration on webtoon [UNPAID]

This is an UNPAID collaboration, for webtoon, I am a writer who needs an artist for my poems, the genre is horror and gore, art style is purely up to you, you can draw as realistic you want or as Cartoonish as you want, I plan on uploading every week, and I don't need too detailed work so it's both fast and not a stress on you, this is not just for fun, this is a serious project, I can't do it myself because I am not an artist, Any interested parties can draw a demo for the below poem posted(just the character of Joe would be fine too), and reply to me..... Thank you

Do you have any samples of the type of art you are looking for? Maybe sketches others have done for you?
Also what type of update schedule are you looking for?

A couple artists made me character for my poems but bailed out soon because they couldn't find the time, I prefer webtoon and a weekly update with an initial 3 episode update is fine with me, I don't want too detailed drawings because if we get featured LINE asks you to republish it anyway

Weekly update, exactly how much panel/page per chapter? And initial 3 episodes at once just like webtoon's featured? That's a high demand for something unpaid. Also to be featured is also a really high goal and maybe has very low chance of happening so I mean the way you phrase things like there's no negotiation and maybe you could take things more realistically. Drawing things takes a lot of time and energy and people don't want to invest a lot of that for something that's basically like a gambling.

Webtoons has ad revenue now so that will be some kind of compensation, and patreon helps, I am not asking you to make all those 3 episodes in one week, you can take your time with the initial episodes, but after that it is required to be weekly affair, also, the panels depend on each episode, my series is a set of short stories in the form of poem, each poem tells a different story, everything is negotiable, even the upload times, frequency and initial upload... I just need a willing artist, that's all I ask

Ad revenue and patreon aren't some kind of payment, per se, since people can't depend on that alone, and even if it makes money they amount less than pocket money. So there's basicall no payment, don't promise something you aren't certain of..You see i don't have any issues about unpaid collab as long as it's stated just for fun and there's no high demand since maybe potential artists already have project on their own(most likely). And you should provide example of your writing so potential collaborators can see whether they're interested or not. I only ask these so people knows what they expect from this collab. Good luck!

I already mentioned in the request that this is an unpaid collaboration, that is my initial request it will change depending on how serious the artist is, if they are more serious to build a comic from ground up, I will be easy about uploads and not care about the initial 3 uploads, I only wanted that because it gives the audience something to binge and look forward to subscribe.... I can't say it is just for fun because I have some expectations from the comic and need the same from an artist, if you are interested in collaborating I am attaching an example of my poem to the original post

I am not up for collab, as I have my own project that keeps me fairly busy, but I am curious:

If the episodes are based on poems, what part will the poem play? Will it be written there? At the end of the episode? Or will the poem make the narration and will be the only text in the webtoon? The idea is interesting, so I wander what your plans are, unless, of course, you'd rather not share that, which I'd understand.
And are the poems connected? Like will they actually form a story or are they all standalone poems and episodes?

It will be like a picture book, each scene of the poem illustrated with that Stanza of poem and so on.... The poems I have now are standalone, but I have written some poems that work as part two, or recurring characters, like Joe here does a lot more unintentional killing in other poems I have...

I am sorry, but I don't know comic artists I only know like one, but just because they work on their own comic whenever they can. And... I certainly don't know anyone doing horror stories like that To be honest it is not really my cup of tea, either, but I hope you'll be successul in your search.

In case you're not, maybe making a poem book with a single illustration to each poem may not be to bad, either. But that would not be for Webtoon, which I guess is your goal.

I initially thought about making a book out of it, but the editor I asked around didn't want illustrations, they only wanted the poems, and I didn't think that would be interesting because the idea I have for my poems won't be actualised, I need illustrations and then I saw webtoon and that seemed like a nice idea.... Thank you, I hope so to, none of the artists I have contacted have stayed true to their promises, they say it will take 2 weeks to make one poem, I agree to the wait and it has been a month since they last contacted.... And a series of similar artists the ghosting after agreeing to work on their own time.... It is tough finding artists

I undestand it is hard. Unfortunately, from my limited comic-drawing experience, I have to agree it is a lot of work. So basically I am doing it becasue I enjoy it, partly probably becasue it is my own story I want to tell, so I am invested in it and for once, no-one tells me what to do

If your project is unpaid, but the story generally laid-out, it will probably not be easy to find someone, especially if the story is long.
I, for one, would also have a hard time drawing for free for a person I do not know and whose story I do not know, either, and can't tell how much I am invested.
But I suppose at least some writers are successful in their search. If you can't find anyone right away, maybe be more active in the community, so that potential artists can get to know you a bit.

I don't have a problem with people turning me down because this is an unpaid work, I know people have jobs and no one does anything for free, hell my secondary goal from this series is money making, and I don't expect people to do something for free, I only have a problem with people who agree to something but won't deliver it.......

Thank you, I had some luck on Instagram, but it usually ends up the same, I get a character design and then they just bail, most artist bail even when they decide the frequency of episode completion

Yeah, that is not that nice. If they change their mind and explain, well, that can just happen. That's the problem you will probably have to face. At least.... well... it's probably better that they stopped before they really even started, rather than in the middle of the project, when you put in hopes and time etc.
I am sure the search is hard.

You can't delete the thread. Only mods can unlisted it. You can only edit the post and replies, but you can certainly delete your own replies. You can't edit the title if you're not a regular or mods.

As an addition, after some time passed, you wouldn't be able to edit the post and replies. I'm not sure about the time limit though.

My suggestion is to just made a new thread or edit the existing first post. I suggest you edit this one tho, since it'll just going to become too confusing if one person replies to both of your thread.

I wouldn't worry, your account couldn't get suspended automatically due to flags afaik, the mods have to do it manually.

IDK why someone flagged your post either, FYI though it doesn't link to the main topic I think you intended to link to - instead it links to the last post specifically at the end of that thread. It's possible that led to it being misunderstood somehow?
