Need feedback on design

Hello!
I looking for opinions on my designs.
Those are not the final versions, but I want to know are they working fine enough for this moment.

What do you think of designs?
What is your first impression when you see these characters?
What might their traits be?
What might be their occupations?

I thought of Norse’s mythology when I first saw them. Probably not from the Vikings era but eeeh...

The First one is probably a wife and husband, being in love with each other and caring as much to the other. The women is a normal, cheerful mother and husband is a fisherman. Or they could be a lover and not married yet...?

The second one is either a very eccentric rich person or a goddess. She’s smiling happily rn but who knows if she’s actually a villain?

I could only say that she looks like a very heroic warrior (or god). Her lighting design on her cloths and axe makes me think ofThor more.

A very mysterious man. A sorcerer or a prophet? Anyway, he’s the kind of person that looks wise somehow.

Cute artstyle and characters !

Zydre and Casthtis seem happy together, there is obviously a connection between the 2.
They seem to be in the lower class, Zydre's cape make her look like she might be more bougee than Casthtis xD

Yurata looks like a sorceress with a weird taste for earring haha ! She seems friendly. But the choice for the earring defintely give a sense that it might be a facade she puts on.

Perperuna looks strong. I don't know why but she looks annoying to hangout with xD You know the type of person who always try to one-up you.

Veles looks like a sorcerer jealous of Yurata but who turns out to be the good guy.

Reminds me of some fairy tale picture books I had as a child. Wonderful in every sense of the word.

The couple seems to have Zydre as more reckless and Casthtis as the voice of reason, going by their colors and overall shapes, and they seem to be farmers. The others all have some type of mysterious vibe too, with a sorceress, a champion/warrior and a warden or forest spirit!

Design wise, they all look great and have really dynamic silhouettes, but I'd just watch out for Perperuna's yellow. Your other characters have a more medieval looking vibe and while that bright, almost neon yellow might've existed then, something just feels off about having it on the boots. Maybe make it a bit closer to orange or make the glove instead be yellow?

The first one, the guy, with his background being the same height as him and four sided, leads me to think he is grounded, a routine kind of guy. The top of his rectangle is slightly tilted to the girl, Zydre, leading me with the impression is he devoted to her. Her background is a triangle, leading me to see her as having a more spontaneous, unpredictable personality...but also a stable person, as her triangle is standing in a stable manner on its flat side.

The second one, looks a bit like the wacky aunt type with the gypsy queen type clothes. Her background being a triangle leads me to believe she has the more spontaneous, unpredictable personality, Perhaps she's Zydre's sister...but where Zydre's triangle is in a stable manner, Yurata's is standing on a point, so her life may not have the stability Zydre's does.

Perperuna's background, a neutral square indicates a no-nonsense, stable personality...the white hair streak and lightning socks might portray this wise old sage's youthful wild streak.

Veles, like Yurata, has an unstable triangle for a background indicating he may be nomadic, not set on a particular place.

Putting them all together if I had to conclude a plot, I'd say the top two are a mortal couple, the 'wife' is family or some way connected with three fairy-god beings representing wind, lightning and precipitation...

I based on 11-12th century central Europe clothes. It’s not Norse, but these cultures are often mistaken, because they look similar. So you were really close.

Orange might work, but for this character I chosen especially yellow, because she suppose to flashy and agressive, orange don’t suit her theme.
When I replaced glove color with boots color, (I want to have the same color proportions) it didn’t work, cause glove blended with the coat.
So her boots got desaturated.

What you think? Better or still off?

It actually works even better just desaturated! The yellow itself isn't a bad color, it's just the neon that was clashing, now it all fits together very nicely.

First, I really like your use of color! I like that each character seems to have their own scheme, which will help to make them recognizable :3

I also like how the clothing is both simple, but also detailed. If that makes sense? There's detail, but it's not so fraught with detail that it detracts from the characters.

I'm going to put my opinion for your questions (I'm not the BEST artist on the forum, but I thought I'd give my 2 cents :D)

Casthtis looks like his occupation is a fisher man. He looks kind and a bit doting for Zydre, who to me appears to be his partner or at the least a good friend. I'm not a fan of his hat, but the rest of his clothes seem very fitting.

Zydre to me looks like a village leader and possibly someone with magical abilities. She looks confident and kind also, which to me seems to be directed back at Casthtis. She looks like someone who gets things done.

Yurata is awesome! Love the colors (orange and blue are...um..complementary colors, right?) She looks like some type of sorceress or enchantress. The fish-bone jewelry tells me she may dapple in black magic, or may even have magic relating to the sea? She looks energetic and I personally wouldn't label her as a villain, but I could see her going that way. She looks nice to me.

Perperuna looks like a lightning warrior. They definitely look courageous, like they're ready to take whatever on. They also look like they came from a colder environs, since they've got some furs on. I'm saying "they" because I have long hair male characters, and I feel this character could be either male or female. I'm leaning toward female 'cause of the "a" at the end of their name. Either wya, I love the design!

Veles looks the most like a villian to me, but even then I could see him just being a mysterious wizard/enchanter. He looks like he has his guard up and is either himself untrustworthy, or is suspicious of others. I get this feel cause of his eyes, but also because of his hidden arm (maybe it's missing?) I also get that feel cause his magic seems to be spacial.

I like them all! I personally would make the line art a touch less sketcher, but if that's what you're going for, then you've done a great job!

I hope that's the kind of feed back you were looking for. If it wasn't, I'm so sorry for wasting you time!! I think they are good character designs, and just need to be cleaned up a touch (but, I'm not one to talk, considering my own own comic inking XD)
