Hi everyone!

I'm looking for people who would be kind enough to dedicate about 5 minutes of their time to review the first three chapters of yet unpublished Romance/Comedy/Slice of life webtoon.

Summary:
In an attempt to stop the population decline the Korean government issues a new law. According to it single citizens aged 18 to 24 will be split into groups and forced to live together. With boys and girls stuck under one roof there are so many things that could go wrong.

The chapters are short - 11-14 panels.
If you're interested - send me a PM and I'll reply.

Taking kids away from their loving parents who did have kids doesn’t sound like a way to induce population boom. It’s likely to have the opposite effect, breaking families and not providing any incentives to have more children. Perhaps look at a more humane premise of government sponsored summer camps at pretty destinations where kids are doing something together as well as being brainwashed on the beauty of having large families/siblings and destroying Earth by overpopulation, because the government is incapable to invent a new paradigm of managing a sustainable human population, pushing a pyramid scheme of more and more babies in the next generation.

Are they trying to end the population boom by making high school students...”intermingle?” Because there are a few legal reasons why that would be an issue.I recommend changing to college students to avoid some pitfalls.

Other than that though, I wouldn’t mind reading it

My bad, changed the summary a bit. The characters involved are all senior high schoolers in their last year - 18 y.o. or older. About the summer camp - it's a great idea, but we need something more of year-round thing. Don't worry there are a lot of exceptions about who's eligible for this 'program': those who are already in a relationship, single caretakers e.t.c.

Overall I would like to say that this is a light-hearted comedy and the setting is just a tool to bring the characters together in a close space - a house.

Appreciate your feedback!

I'm late to the party, but your post caught my eye. I worry that the premise reads too dystopian for a comedy. How much do you plan to work the details of the premise into the plot?

I once lived in "young workers" housing in France; it was connected to the government somehow though it wasn't cheaper than a regular apartment. It was post-high school to age 28 (technically higher because some guys didn't move out after they aged out), combination college students and young workers. It was one building with cafeteria and a few shared spaces (like laundry, a kitchen residents could cook in, some lounging space). You could rent a room or a small apartment. Anyhow, my experience there was hardly glamorous, but I thought I'd bring it up as an option if you are looking for a less dystopian excuse for young adults living under a shared roof. I could see the Korean government creating some form of housing for young people to counter the challenges young adults face (competitive housing market, difficulty finding full time work, etc.).

Thank you for your reply~
The story will not focus too much on social-economic side and will be more about personal interactions between the characters and also their growth.

So far 21 short episodes are available on Tapas and other platforms.

It looks cute! It's ignoring the dark elephant in the room of government breeding program, but cute. The art is very good.

I think that program has been around for many years in many countries. Governments in general are interested in increasing their population or at least in maintaining the current numbers. If citizens don't "breed" then it will bring a catastrophe to the nation - an unstoppable nosedive in economy, military power, quality of life etc.
The difference is that right now the measures are moderate - marital benefits, incentive payouts for every child born, housing privileges. Of course the method depicted in the comic is absurd one. If things get dire then the government will probably use something more subtle and realistic.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, since I'm no expert in this field.
