Decisions, decisions, all of them bad...Hi, there. So I'm doing some art for the next video in my soundtrack, and I'm VERY torn about the color scheme that my main villain and all her henchies will share.

Here are the original images:

And here is the change I want to make:

So the GREEN hue looks better on the fodder enemies, because it helps sell the 'fishy' look (and the main villain IS called Professor Perch...you're the only people besides me who know that, by the way; congrats). But on the higher-ranking 'guardian' enemies, it doesn't make them look nearly as menacing as the BLUE hue does...they look like they're supposed to be park rangers or something...

If I could just pick one scheme, I could probably find a way to make it work anyhow...but I can't choose! >_< I also had the idea to use both: have lower-rank enemies in green, higher-rank enemies in blue, and have the Professor herself wear both...but that's kinda eehh too. I don't know...it's like no matter what I decide to do, I'll be disappointed in some way.

So! I thought about getting some public opinion to help me make up my mind. Feel free to toss out a completely different suggestion, too.

cough cough pink.... if Harry potter taught us anything.

What about making them all a little in-between the current blue and green? Like dark cyan?

I feel like that would improve the top two by having a little more color harmony between the green spots that are already there and the rest of their outfits, while still not making them too green. And I agree about the green selling the 'fishy' look of the bottom right ones, but maybe it doesn't need that much, idk ^^

Green, purple, and orange are the traditional bad guy/secondary character colors in comics as they contrast with primary colors, though the tendency isn't as strong as it was in the past (Green Lantern being the obvious example of a character that breaks the rule).

This might just be me but when I make main antagonists I tend to gravitate towards maroon/dark red, or just dark colors in general, but mostly the former.

My antagonist (in a comic that won't probably be published until like, 5 years from now, so things are subject to change) had a color scheme of black and maroon.

But you know dark red/maroon + black is a very generic villain color scheme so it's understandable if you don't wanna use it.

In case anyone is unaware...I've designed villains before...dozens of them. This ain't my first rodeo...

So I'm not looking to pluck a color scheme out of the ether so much as I'm just trying to decide between the options in the poll...or at least, anything that would look good on those characters in particular.

I believe that purple is one of the most evil colours. Voltron, dark magic in Dragon prince, Halo and Invader Zim
