Hey hey, I decided to try out tapas for publishing my webtoon (I'm trying out LINE webtoon as well to see which one I like better). I love that there's a forum, the community here seems great! Anyway, I thought I'd introduce myself and at the same time ask what made you choose tapas for publishing. Looking forward to getting to know yall!~

So in short my name's Noah and I'm a 22 year old guy living in Sweden, cohabiting with my dog.
Now who are you and why did you choose tapas?

Ps: the webtoon can be found over here (first update coming later today~)

Hello and welcome!
Just a random Indonesian here.

I hope you good luck
and success onn your journey here! I'm also pretty much newly active here (a.k.a just figured out how this site works recently)

At first, I'm here just to support my friend's work and try out the platform itself.
I published my novel2 here as an outlet of my hobby. Previously I posted on Wattpad which I find saturated and hard to gain any readership and friends there. I also newly re-released a webcomic meant for Webtoon here.

For webcomic it is said to be easier to gain readership on Webtoon simply because the larger audience, but the community here (for me, compared to Wattpad and Webtoon) are very nice and supportive that it worth staying for. And who knows? Maybe people here will like your comic! (There is big audience here for BL)

Hi and thank you so much!~
Wish you all the best too, gonna head over and check out your content right away.
Right? That's how it started out for me as well, found both tapas and webtoon through other people's and friend's works. I already feel like that's true. Webtoon seems to gain me way more trafic but I really love the community and the features of tapas haha. :smile_cat:

Welcome! I post novels, but the reason I chose Tapas was because of the atmosphere. All the people are nice and the staff is always there when we're in need of help. They have a lot of competitions/opportunities for someone to enter the premium program...and I just love it here! :grinning:

I actually just gave Tapas a shot because my husband told me about it. I was nervous about putting my work out there and it turned out that Tapas has a great community behind it! Everyone is supportive and nice.

Oh they have competitions here as well? That's neat! And knowing people who use the platform already def helps. Cheers to the community!

Tapas has events for comics and novelists throughout the year

Hi new guy! Welcome to Tapas  I choose Tapas out of sheer boredom because I was in summer school, taking a math class and wanted to work on my writing. Turned out to be a great choice! <3

Haha I like the various reasons, and right it's a lot friendlier! Maybe webtoons is more competitive or something?
Will have to keep an eye out for the events! :smile_cat:

Hey there, welcome to the party! I'm Alex, 24, architect by day, comic artist by night~

I was originally directed to Tapas by a random comic artist's YouTube video I watched a few years ago (don't remember who sadly, the video was along the lines of "tips for making your own comic") and just kinda stuck around afterwards. I've been interested in making comics from a long time but just recently got really into it, and just finally started uploading recently

Hey, random guy from ahem "The Land of Tea and Crumpets, also known as England". To be honest this was the first site I came across and I've had no reason to regret it so far. Genuinely friendly people, site that works well and doesn't kill your eyes and enough oddities hanging around to keep things interesting. I am one of the newer oddities to join. Welcome to the madhouse, price of admission; your sanity!

Greetings @hundpappan, I am waving to you from Florida. When you read a news headline about Florida Man, that guy might be me.

I do not remember exactly how I ended up at Tapas.

The audience here seems to be not as potentially big as you might find on rival websites like Wattpad or Webtoons -- but Tapas does not make any claims of ownership nor exclusivity of distribution, so you may always expand from here if you like.

i chose Tapas cause it seemed less intimidating than Webtoons when it came to posting my comic3

(i did start posting there eventually anyway)

i chose tapas because of the ad revenue, i also liked the vertical scrolling even if my comic has a more traditional layout. i don't make too much off ad rev but its a cool feeling to get to flush out my balance every now and then.

I'm so grateful for all your answers/experiences. Fun to see people from all over the world with all sorts of works!
Today I posted another update, I really like how you can schedule updates!

Welcome to Tapas, I started to write on here because I found it to be awesome the that Tapas is set up. I'm able to publish novels in short chapters and then share them with the community. It really helps me to get my ideas out there in novel form. I'm even going to try at some point to publish a novel on here in script format to see how well it does. I've also been able to network with others while reading other comics and Novels. I think it has a good balance between readers and creators. Also a great support system too.
