Thanks for the advice! Yeah, part of my issue is that I'm just pretty new to the comic community in general, at least to that extent -- I've always been more casual about it, and I kind of feel like I'm just sort of awkwardly here. But I'd like to get into it more. And honestly, I've never done a flatting job for someone before, though I have plenty of examples of what I can do and have plenty of experience.
As for rates, I'm not sure what the usual rates are, to begin with. I've seen everything from $5 to $15, so I'm not sure what to ask for. My flatting is clean, I'm very particular about not having a single pixel out of place as it is, I spend around 2-3 hours on a page, depending on how detailed it is, etc.
Basically, I'm a lost child when it comes to the actually-working-and-getting-paid side of it all, so I'm stumbling around as I learn. Your advice is very helpful in terms of what to keep in mind, I really appreciate it.
