New Hosting Site Just Dropped (Kinda)

I don’t know if this will stay up since they usually want to keep things Tapas related, but I thought people may want to know. It looks like MANGA Plus, Shueisha & Medibang release a new site for people to host called MANGA Plus Creators with the promise that you could possibly be published in MANGA Plus and Shonen Jump+ App if you rank well enough. It seems to at least partially be a revamped version of the Medibang hosting site so it’s not completely new.

I honestly feel a bit nostalgic looking at it since the front page looks like Smackjeeves I don’t know if I’ll try uploading to it (or if that publishing deal would even be worth it) but I thought people should know about it and it’s nice to have alternatives.

entering the site, I got jumpscared by dog ningen. anyways, the UI looks good, and it looks like its some sort of counterpart to a bigger official site with the big shueisha comics.. pretty cool. I may upload there soon.

I've seen that the guidelines apparently don't allow hugging or kissing. Then again, I don't do manga style, so maybe people who do mostly action stories can get something out of it.

I really like that it has 2 formats on it, I've seen manga style comics as well as Webtoon style and website formatting changes to accommodate that.
My current comic is ending soon so maybe for the next one I'll consider posting there.
Does it have an application though?

Damn, our comic doesn't pass then, it has some of both at one point. I guess we're too depraved for Medibang...

Lol I thought hugging was an exaggeration!

The intended audience is all ages rather than 12+ and 17+ with Webtoon and Tapas which is important to consider.

Also they "cannot respond to inquiries such as reasons for deletions etc" which is interesting.

Anyway, it's a neat opportunity depending on the comic. Not my comic tho.
I could potentially censor everything but the hugs. I refuse to let go of my hugs!
