Dec 2021

So the end of the year is coming up again. Which means it's that time for people to make another list of New Year's Resolutions that they will either see through to the end or just give up within one month into the year. But luckily for my case, I have done most of mine, except for the last one.

-Work out more often (2-3 times a week.)
-Get out of the house more often, even if it's just for a walk.
-Earn some full time hours at work
-Reach my 100 sub milestone here on Tapas.
-Officially open up art commissions.
-Be more open with people on real life and online.
-Be more level-headed in the long run.
-Cut back on Coffee
-Spend extra time with family
-Watch Avatar: The last airbender

So what were your resolutions for this year? Leave them down below and promote your series if you feel like it.

Hmm? New Years Resolutions... I haven't really done that in YEARS. But, nothing wrong with goals to look forward to!

-Exercise more.
-Reach 100 Subs on Donnie The Fighting Psychopath.
-Try Metroid again.
-Try Pokemon Sword finally. (It's been 2 years)
-Learn my work speed. (I REALLY underestimate how fast I can illustrate a comic episode)
-Start next Co-Op Let's Play.
-Do something about my acne.

FUN FACT: My last New Year's resolution was back in middle school, (I've graduated High School now) and was to NOT accidentally write last years date. I failed and in hindsight came up with terrible excuses for why I didn't. My next resolution was to NEVER make that resolution again.

And here's my comic, Donnie The Fighting Psychopath.

Please read the the title and original post of this thread before just copy-and-pasting a generic promotion message into it. The title says "a dash of promotion" but that's not the point of the thread.

I don't really do resolutions since I fear I'll break them, but here goes.

  • Finish scripting either Phantom Thief Kane3 or Tomboy Harem2 (end both at 50 episodes! Long series drag!)
  • Continue my monthly update schedule without going on hiatus (maybe manage a double update in Jan/Feb?)
  • Read/watch Dune since the movie came out
  • Get better at my job and stop feeling like a fraud
  • Hit 2k subs with Tomboy Harem. All my other series are pretty much at a standstill now.

-write/record one song each month
-excercise (like everyone probably), I´m already going on daily walks, ride my bicycle, do situps and pushups
but I want to get back to the gym

I will also do some daily drawing routine, but I´m not sure how that will look like, I did things like
one face a day in the past

Hmm. New Year's resolution.... literally never have a habit of making them, not going to lie. Mostly because I tend to have a series of long-term goals and have steps to reach them, so never really see the point of doing it.

But if I have to say them, then here they are!

  • Reach 100 Subs on Silent Whispers
  • Open a Patreon and Kofi? And Actually, maybe I could start a goal-reaching celebration I've been planning... for quite a while... (after all parts of the Origins are actually published)
  • Try to find a better work-life balance, work out more.
  • Oh, and definitely do something about my crappy sleep schedule (even though every time I say it, ultimately flopped every time)
  • Last one, I promise. Did be trying to get a grasp on what my work speed is, so I could hopefully get a better estimate of how much time I can make a chapter, assuming there isn't any writer's block or internet problems...

Anyway, that's it... and below did be my collection, Silent Whispers.

  • hit 100 subs with my webcomic :hype_01:
  • find a part-time job :cry_02:
  • exercise?
  • draw short comics and send them to editors

I got a handful of those, besides working on my main project/comic, though they are pretty standard ^^"

  • go out (also out of my shell) more
  • exercise & lose the last bit for my goal
  • try to reconnect better with my friends & maybe make some new ones
  • graduate from my current school
  • as I just said, I wanna reach my favorite parts of my comic's plot as best as I can, but also counting in to further enhance my artstyle & get better with things like special effects and backgrounds and most of all storytelling! :3

And if you're interested in one whacky crossover, here's my comic:

mine will be to finish year 12 and to be able to continue with my book
if you wanna read my book this is it

TBH this would be my first time doing new year's resolutions so I hope I stand by them!

  • Go for therapy.
  • Write a poetry journal.
  • Watch at least 2 anime series.
  • Jump out of this writers' block asap
  • Complete the first draft of my main novel

Here's my main novel:

I don’t really make resolutions, because I never stick to them. But I do make plans, and I have plenty of those (and plans to accomplish those plans—I like to write everything out).

—Finish volume 1 of my serialized novel here on Tapas
—Start/post the new comic I’ve been working on
—Finish/edit my monster manuscript
—Read more books than last (this) year
—Eat/exercise better
—Reach sub goal that I haven’t decided on yet

Best of luck to everyone with their resolutions!

Here’s my work:

New Years Resolutions:

  • Start writing upwards of 3 chapters a week, recently I just made the transition to 2 instead of 1 so I really want to work on and build on that.

  • I want to become fitter and more healthy within myself, really aiming to go on runs on my treadmill after work most days instead of being like “oh you too exhausted”

  • Start drawing, I’d really love to be able to put illustrations in my novels but I don’t quite have the quality to do it yet so I need to get back into drawing.

Here’s my novel, like a new years resolution list - this novel is similarly about two people with very different issues trying to better themselves and hopefully those around them.

New Years resolution for me would be,

-Get to my next big milestone (250) but hopefully I can get to at least 150 before the end of the year.
-I would like to get a physical book of my manga made up of the pages I’ve done so far.
-Start to make my own merch, I want to try and make charms and stickers.
-Hope to sell at a con with my own original stuff

(This may seem all the same but it’s stuff I’ve been really thinking about doing and really want to start getting them done in the new year :blusht:)
