Nov 2020: you can schedule on webtoon!

I may be the one late here, but i just tried to upload a new episode of my comic on webtoon and..... it let me schedule it!!

WT is finally becoming smarter.... cough cough like tapas.

PS: maybe it's not available everywhere yet but only in certain regions? let me know (italy here)

It's in Poland as well and unlike here, on Tapas, it uses my timezone instead of... from somewhere in usa? I guess 'xD Now that I think about it Tapas is the only site I upload to that doesn't use/let choose user's timezone...

Yo, I just checked it out. You were right they actually have a scheduling date set! Now I don't actually have to upload it myself like 5 hours late lol. Hopefully, they also add in-depth analytics as Tapas does next.

Yesss, I just noticed that they let you schedule posts on there now... which is a blessing, 'cos I just started posting on there and, since I have two different schedules for Tapas and Webtoons, having to post things manually on Webtoon was one of the things that scared me the most D:
I'm also super glad that they actually use your time zone instead of some default US timezone like... pretty much every other site I've used so far does XD the only thing that weirds me out is how you're apparently supposed to click on the "publish" button to schedule a post and, even if you're just scheduling things, a message saying "your episode will be visible to everyone" still pops out? So confusing D: for now I'm just using drafts (which I think are also new), but yep, being able to finally schedule stuff is great.

Now, if only they would add a decent notification system and perhaps a way to moderate comments... XD

That's a nice addition! I don't have a currently running comic so I was wondering if anyone could let me know: if you schedule an episode for, say, Monday and a 2nd one on Wednesday, can you then schedule a 3rd episode for the Tuesday inbetween them, for example?

When I first started using Webtoons in 2018 I tried out the Draft function but quickly just... stopped doing so because it wouldn't let you place drafts anywhere except the end of the queue So when I decided last minute to do some special holiday illustrations for halloween I had to un-draft several episodes, place the halloween episode in, and then re-draft the following ones lol. If the scheduling function is more flexible than that then that's great

Wow just in time! I was seriously considering leaving Webtoon and just publishing on Tapas. This will keep me there a little longer. I just wish they had better analytical tools and higher resolution like Tapas does.

I'm not sure. Right after I schedule an episode and go to schedule another, the new episode page still displays the episode number of the previous one. It's got me wary enough that I leave it at only one scheduled ep until that publishes.

If anyone's scheduled more than one update, I'd much appreciate hearing how it worked out!

You still have to have your episodes queued in the order you want them published but at least in the USA (and it sounds like just about everywhere else) you can schedule them now.

Yes! I noticed it on wednesday and was so surprised I first thought webtoon was broken, lol. It's great! I hope it works, I haven't used it yet.

i think they support gif but it's just for the featured comics, not for us common mortals
