My story has a lot of dialogues, so I try to adjust. This one last chapter was just a filler chapter, so it doesn't feel exciting. It's unedited but here we go:
For a brief moment Keane watched Izky taking off his gloves. From the covering black, revealed his original copper skin. Strangely, his right hand's color did not change; it was still black contrasting with his other hand. The hand looked organic and otherwise healthy; despite its coal color, it did not look like a gangrenous appendage.
"What's with your hand?" Keane pointed. Iota gaped. She had realized something was wrong with that hand, yet not this.
No response from Izky, he took his backpack and walked away faster.
"Oi Pepper, you good?"
Izky tucked the hand inside his pocket in a somewhat stilted movement. That exchange turned the heads of some customers. "Fuck," he muttered.
Iota traced the creature's footsteps with her eyes, until he was gone out of the earshot. The woman turn to Keane with a conscripted smile.
"You know, his team leader talked to me," she said. "Remember that Agi guy you briefly saw? He gave us a valuable information."
Context: Izky is not a human, and his nickname is Pepper.
Also the formatting here rendered the space between first paragraph and first line non-existent.
