Novel Reader Poll - Where to next? 🤔

There's been lots of discussion as to where authors should move their works to, with many novels already finding new homes in different corners of the internet. But out of interest, I wanted to ask the readers where they would be most likely to switch to in light of the tapas shutdown. I've tried to include the main platforms I could think of, but feel free to comment others too, and even the reason for your choice should you wish to.

Definitely not Webnovel, their contracts are shady. Pinya is probably the best amongst these options.

To everyone voting Wattpad, remember, they don't allow nsfw/adult content anymore, I'd refrain.

I moved from Wattpad because all the comments I was getting whenever I published a chapter were bots or spam. I honestly thought that Wattpad was going to close anytime but here we are...

I have moved to Pinya and Novelcult (which was novelpedia)

The ease of transfer was really nice with Novelcult and their scheduling seems to be working nicely.

Right now I'm still having to manually publish my scheduled episodes on Pinya, but that could just be a glitch.

I'm already on Wattpad, and have several stories there already. But the story here, "Love Over Kpop" was special and I wanted to market it more niche. So after Radish failed, I brought it here. But I won't be putting it on Wattpad. I think it will do better now as an ebook and print edition since I have more of a following there too. So, that's the next step for my story on Tapas. Thanks for all the good times here. It was fun doing rewrites and polishing the final serial draft on this platform. Going to miss the community here.

As a new user, I would advice against Scribble Hub, RR and Wattpad, tried those places a few month back, and I met a wall and it was depressing. No good way of socialising with other writers, got 0 interactions from real people, I mean no like sub comment or anything for 6 months of actually trying. I got spammed (esp on Wattpad) by bots, my story drowned in AI or stolen cover arts, ai written slop and you only provide more spaces for AI scam bots to spread their disease. Might've be good back in the days, but those are sinking ships tbh!

If you do have an old account and a following there it makes sense to try your luck.

Pinya and Namicomi are anti-ai and have social features. Those are closest to Tapas tbh.

Agreed with furipon that royal road and scribble hub is not recommended because they allow partially and fully ai content. Webnovel has been known since it's early days for it's bad contract (somewhat surprised they haven't changed), so it wasn't recommended either like palamon said.
