I'm very keen to submit but I'm not sure this is the right market as my story doesn't fit into any of the genre categories for novels on this site. I would call it an urban fantasy comedy with vampires and werewolves, but it seems out of place in fantasy and its definitely not horror or straight up comedy. Any chance of more categories coming to the site?

Hey there! What payment methods do you have apart from paypal? There are countries where paypal is restricted so please reply to my question.

Not staff, but just making an observation.

Many premium novels on here publish all books in the series as the same tapas premium series, so that seems to be a (good) option in your case.

From your description, the main premise seems to be centered around a fantastical theme. You even called it an urban fantasy, so that's your primary tag. Horror and comedy would fall under sub-genres. Since you can mark your work by up to 3 tags, why not mark it with the three to see how it performs as a free to read? That should give you a good indicator as to how the audience is responding to it.

Hello, I have a novel that is already available on Amazon via self-publishing. Is it okay to submit that for novelization on Tapas? I really would love to get it out to a much wider audience.

So there's no more limit of having at least 250 subs before pitching Premium?

Thanks :heart_03:

Hi desktop_dragon,

I have a question with regard to the 80k word count minimum. What if the number of current chapters free to read on Tapas is around 60k, but there are already scheduled chapters in my dashboard that will likely hit 80k words. Would it be okay to submit my work for premium?

And on the off-chance I do get accepted into premium, would the available chapters remain free or do they get locked somehow?

Thank you in advance for the response!

Hello, I would like to ask a question. I understand that the first five chapters equal to the first five Tapas episodes but are acknowledgments and prologues counted in these five episodes?

I'm not desktop_dragon but usually when a pre-existing series is turned into premium, the current chapters are removed to usually go through some editing. Then most of the chapters will be locked and only the first few in the beginning will be free to read, as with other premium series.

Hello! I'm French, not exactly fluent in English yet, so I write in French. I was wondering--does the language have any kind of impact for pitching a story? Since you're reading it, I'd find it complicated to understand for you, but like I could translate it, but then it wouldn't be the same... I don't knoow. Is English the only language available in the program?

Can I submit my Novel for consideration if I have written 30k word down already for the first book series and I'm currently writing 40k words for the second book in the series.
P.S: The series will eventually pass 100k words

Hello! At the moment, we're only able to accommodate pitches in English at the submission email address.

A prologue would be counted as part of the five episodes, but not the acknowledgments, or other supplemental episodes that aren't directly related to the main plot of the story!

Yes, you can absolutely submit your project! We offer both nonexclusive and exclusive contracts, to fit every creator's needs.

Thanks for asking! We aren't looking for mature content for Premium at this time. If your story features mature content that can be toned down, we'll be happy to review it!

Sorry, Katie, but is it okay to submit a non-mature version as a separate manuscript without changing the text on the main site while the story is under consideration?

Absolutely! Submitting an edited manuscript—whether it's a second pass for grammar, spelling, and other tweaks or a rework to remove mature content—while the original version is still available is no problem.
