NSFW Drawing for my BL Webcomic. Should or Should Not?

So my BL webcomic is more on the erotic and teasing side. But as character development goes, there are bound to be steamy scenarios. I don't know if I should make NSFW work, would that drive my audience away and change the theme completely?
And If I do NSFW, should it be done tastefully or straight up bara?

tbh it doesnt matter as long as you censor the good bits (penetration, genitals), i know, sucks

You can have mature pages, but it can't be straight up pornographic. Tapas allows more stuff than Webtoons, which I personally like, but you do still have to follow their rules on censoring certain parts.

There are a few threads on what's allowed outside and inside the Mature tags. Here is one particular thread:

On webtoon: no sexual content whatsoever. Don't even risk having a page where they talk sexually with their clothes on, much less one with censored intercourse. Their site doesn't allow it. You could post your comic on Webtoons, but you will have to take out the NSFW images and post them elsewhere for readers to view. It also does allow a warning if you tag your comic Mature, but again, their polices are a bit more limited than Tapas.

Course, that can be a case by case study, because there are a few of the features comics that have some NSFW content in their works. But again, they are within the guidelines (at least, I would hope they are).

most people can get away with pornographic scenes on here by painting over the characters' bits with a white blur. one of the ones i saw got away with mosaics even. like really you mostly just cant show full uncensored nudity, staff seems pretty cool with everything else unless someone specifically reports it out of spite.

I just subscribed. I post on webtoon, too, but haven't found much BL there yet that I'm following.

Tapas allows NSFW content as long as it's with artistical, diegetical and/or educational purposes, and you put it under the Mature Content warning. This is the line I'm quoting:

"Providing context and clarifying intent in the content title and description are important. For example, depictions of violence, sex, or nudity for diegetic, artistic, or educational purposes are more likely to be allowed than gratuitously graphic ones."

Tapas knows that's what marks the difference between porn without plot and erotic art (which has a story behind, characters with feelings and personality, and their sexual intercourse is part of the natural flow of the story as it is).

Just warn people your work is NSFW wherever you mention or promotion it, so no-one that may not like that kind of content get in there and flag it.

If for any reason that happens, Tapas will email you asking you to hide it (cause they won't risk their business, that's also in their Terms and Conditions), and then you'll have to act consequently.

Before that? Just enjoy yourself doing the content you love
