Guys I’ve been so burn out and then non stop action movie for two days it felt like I’m glad to have a day to relax finally, and come back to check some cool art!

@vapidink I might just save the color palettes for later because they do look really fun! I looove the manticore design Monster girl designs just hit different lol. I also really like the watercolor effect on the hair for the character from moontokkym!! So pretty

And how does one turn in a vampire on accident?! UHHH?? Well Theo thought she was dreaming, so when one of her apartment neighbors asked if she wanted to be turned, she was like yeah sure whatever, probably way too casually. But then that wasn’t a dream… She’s still getting a hold of being a dream psychic And yes there’s just casually a vampire living in their apartment complex, without anyone knowing- people don’t believe in vampires normally in universe lol (also thank you! I’ve had their designs for ages)

The burn out is real. I dunno why this time of year is always exhausting. But just go at your own pace! It's more important that you enjoy the art that you make than that you just make art for the sake of being productive!

Also, yes, the palette's are so fun! I'm awful at using colors so it's fun to toy around with them and it's easier with just a few to work with. I need limits so I don't drive myself mad. moontokkym just has pretty characters, I swear, lol.

Okay, well, that's the most relatable "I got turned into a vampire" story I've heard. Like, uh huh, suuure you're a vampire and I'm totally not dreaming. Tbf, who would expect there to be a vampire just living in an apartment complex. It's always castles or manors or something, lol.

Yeah I’m feeling it forreal I need to rest some more I think, but I’ve been drawing doodles still. Honestly you work really well with color it looks like, despite you not working with color all that often. I’ve really been enjoying seeing the full color pieces ^_^!!

And now … I’m realizing I have one too many vampire characters that are just some rando in an apartment complex I even have a vampire who’s essentially just a homeless dude too??! lol I guess I’m really not making sexy vampires I only make cursed characters, it’s what I got.

I guess this is for one of the earlier prompts, but I drew something for under appreciated characters! I draw alot of chubbier and plus size women so I wanted to draw more of the guys who are also fluffier?? This it turned out cute though I’m happy with it :3 (no vampires included, I apologize in advance for the lack of vampires )

They all look so good! Paris looks so put together though, but I like Tomato's punk style. Love the different patterns, it's nice to see so much variation in the outfits. They really give off their own vibes

lol yeah Paris wanted to be a beatnik but he was 30-40 years too late to that movement lmao so he’s left just being pretentious! I adore Tomato he’s an Oni that’s also a punk! Thank you though I’m glad you like their outfits, I spend way too much time each day just looking at clothing I swear

Also the watercolor brushes you use look so good in your style gaaah!! I love the texture of it, it does give the illusion of being traditional art!

Sketchy styles look so nice though! I was just doing some sketchy art earlier, the texture the messy lines add is so nice. I love how Nina's face just lights up when her friend arrives in the second panel!

Day 27: Redesign

Decided to go with Cassian today. His designs is pretty simple because he's a simple sorta person. I wanted him to give off sickly necromancer vibes and have a skull-like look. In the redesign I wanted to focus a little more on the life he's led since escaping the necromancer that was his teacher. He's lived an isolated life in the woods, where he forages for materials to make medicines he sells in town. While I like this look, he sorta looks too nice, lol. Here's the original vs the redesign.

Bonus! I did a little redesign of Elias where he looks a little more rogue-ish. He's too well put together and sly, though. I want him to look scruffy, lol! I didn't have time to color the redesign, but it's basically the same color scheme.

OMG??? Cassian with long hair uh??? Idk why I just love character designs where the guy has long hair help!? Also, the RBF is still intact, and I’m glad for it xD it makes him iconic! Although I guess maybe the anger behind those eyes is REAL, he’s too close in proximity to Elias

Honestly I just wanted to draw him with long hair He'd hate it though, dealing with tangles and stuff would be a pain so that's why he keeps it short. Yes, they're too close! He's about to throw his whole basket at Elias' head, lol

Day 28: Inspirations

There's a lot of things that inspire my stories and characters, but I think when I made wizard/mage characters I always go back to Howl, lol. Aster's definitely about as eccentric and prone to drama as Howl and he has magical trinkets too.

Most of it is his own outfit minus his coat! I've been setting things up for Dia de Muertos so I've been getting flowers, cleaning, setting up the altar and all of that. Imma be baking all weekend 🥲 Today we're just dressing up and giving out candy so I was just mixing up all of the bags of candy and making puff pastry dough.
