OC-tober Day 9: Relationships!
Could I have gone for a more wholesome pair? Yes, but it wouldn't be as funny. They're probably arguing about something dumb here, btw. Most likely about Cassian failing to make a fire the old fashioned way and then pissing Elias off, lol. I'm sure they'll be besties in no time!
Also, no background but I did throw in some messy coloring!
just some dudes bein bros, I think the colours came out pretty nice! the flame is pretty and who doesn't love a bit o' rimlight eh?
As much as I really like this pose, I had a really hard time with the face, I really don't jel with anime style face proportions (no nose big eyes) but having shanged it Idk if this looks that much like miku. not all of them can be winners, we take it in stride.
Yeah, those dynamic poses are cool but such a pain to do sometimes, lol. It turned out good though! And it's always cool to draw other characters in your own style!
Day 10: Personality!
Obviously I went with Cassian because he has the personality of a cat who is way too willing to use his claws.
Thinking "Oh like the black cat Ă— golden retriever trope" with Cassius and Elias. But with further thought it's more cat and other, more bitchy cat.
That's pretty accurate, actually, lol.
Day 11: Symbolism
I rushed it today because it was laundry day 
but yeah, I think one of the main themes and pieces of symbolism relating to Cassian is pretty obvious, lol.
Bit late cause I had to go out, but here we go!
Day 12: Future
Aster's a dreamseer, so he can see the future, or possible future, in his dreams. Only, sometimes it's not good stuff.
I was outta town for a bit, but here are the prompts I missed
This is a fanfic trope, but it sounded so boring that I decided to do just 6 things. These are protective talismans that can transform into protective objects that Ira makes for the people he cares about. Emerald=Sword, Kani=torch, Nuan=gauntlet, Fabian=dagger, Mariposa(his little sister)=soft toy, Emilio=shitty mug that Ira made when he was like, 11, and his dad refuses to let Ira make him a new one.
Already seen plenty of Kani and Emerald, but Em's got her other girlfriend, Nuan, and they all star on a ghost-hunting show that Fabian runs. So there's a fair amount of Kani running into trouble, Emerald running after Kani and Nuan running away from spooky supernatural shit.
Not a big fan of the genderbend trope, but this piece came out pretty cute.
OC-tober Day 13: meme
I love memes so this is one I've been waiting for. Also, I've been rewatching Kitchen Nightmares so this one just came to mind immediately. Gotta love the classics!
Dialouge was adapted from a random quote generator with some alterations. I really enjoyed incorrect quotes as a kid and they were good practice for making one-shot comic pages I did as practice. This has been one of my favourite prompts so far.
Day 14: Inspirations
Late because I had stuff to do, but I wasn't really inspired by any characters when making Cassian. It was just concepts and vibes, lol. Also, meme because I had no time to draw.
Ended up straying from the promptlist, a whole animation meme turned out to be too much work while juggling uni work, exam revision, and a family trip. So I did an old art Redraw!

Was kinda worried about how this would turn out because I still really like the original piece and I totally forgot how I did the ghost effect. I changed the subject of the piece from Ira to Emilio because current canon Emilio has more trouble with ghosts than Ira. The two pieces definitely showcase where my focus has been over the years - line confidence, anatomy, shading - and where it hasn't been, - backgrounds, special effects - more to improve on but nice to see the development!
The ghost effect actually looks really good! The hand look more detailed and there's a nice contrast between the shadows and light that make the hands stand out.
OC-tober Day 15: music
Quick little sketch because I had to go to the doctor's today. So Aster's a noble--even though he quit that life to become a sleep-deprived mage--so he can play the violin! He likes to think he's decent at it even if he's not winning any contests.
another stray from the promptlist. most of the bullying I experienced was behind my back, So I opted for Hanahaki disease instead. a disease that causes flowers to grow in your lungs if you experience unrequited love, which is something that pops up in Emerald's story, and Em handles about as bad as you possibly could.
I had a fun time rendering this! a break from the usual.
The rendering looks really good! Especially like the bots of bright color, like the pink in the eyes, looks really nice.

I'm a lil behind schedule now, today's my birthday and I wanted me time, I also had an exam so I had a lot of revision to do.

Day 19 - Alt fashion
Not super alt, but I did 2 of these for a scrapped animation meme. These are the elder reapers, Alacran and her two demigod kids before Ira, Leucos and Psychros. Leu and Psy are fun because Ira stuggles balancing his life with his role as a demigod, and they're 500 and also still struggling. They're better at controlling their powers and are well connected (well, Leu is, Psy spends most of her time vibing in the middle of the ocean).
Leu wants Ira to not have to go through the hardships that they did, so they play a big role in teaching him about his powers and using their big cash pile to keep Emi afloat. but as Ira gets older Leucos has this quiet resentment of him because Ira has a huge family that loves him, a good relationship with Alacran and Ira just fundamentally likes himself, and likes other people, likes being alive. Leucos doesn't have any of that, and has resigned themself to the fact that they never would. And even though they had a huge role in building that safety net and providing Ira a healthy environment so that he could love himself and others, they hate that Ira is happy and that they aren't. Leucos is a boomer that needs therapy, is what I'm saying.
Psychros elected to not engage with Ira at all until he was at least 40, she thinks he's a baby and that his problems don't matter and that everything he says is stupid. Psy thinks this about pretty much everyone. She is also a boomer who needs therapy.
Day 19: Palette day!
There were four, but I only had time to do two. Might try the other two some other time because it's fun and I need to practice working with colors.
these are so pretty!! the colour pallets really fit the characters vibes, especially cassian, the autumn colours match his death theme so well!
