another stray from the promptlist. most of the bullying I experienced was behind my back, So I opted for Hanahaki disease instead. a disease that causes flowers to grow in your lungs if you experience unrequited love, which is something that pops up in Emerald's story, and Em handles about as bad as you possibly could.
I had a fun time rendering this! a break from the usual.
The rendering looks really good! Especially like the bots of bright color, like the pink in the eyes, looks really nice.

I'm a lil behind schedule now, today's my birthday and I wanted me time, I also had an exam so I had a lot of revision to do.

Day 19 - Alt fashion
Not super alt, but I did 2 of these for a scrapped animation meme. These are the elder reapers, Alacran and her two demigod kids before Ira, Leucos and Psychros. Leu and Psy are fun because Ira stuggles balancing his life with his role as a demigod, and they're 500 and also still struggling. They're better at controlling their powers and are well connected (well, Leu is, Psy spends most of her time vibing in the middle of the ocean).
Leu wants Ira to not have to go through the hardships that they did, so they play a big role in teaching him about his powers and using their big cash pile to keep Emi afloat. but as Ira gets older Leucos has this quiet resentment of him because Ira has a huge family that loves him, a good relationship with Alacran and Ira just fundamentally likes himself, and likes other people, likes being alive. Leucos doesn't have any of that, and has resigned themself to the fact that they never would. And even though they had a huge role in building that safety net and providing Ira a healthy environment so that he could love himself and others, they hate that Ira is happy and that they aren't. Leucos is a boomer that needs therapy, is what I'm saying.
Psychros elected to not engage with Ira at all until he was at least 40, she thinks he's a baby and that his problems don't matter and that everything he says is stupid. Psy thinks this about pretty much everyone. She is also a boomer who needs therapy.
Day 19: Palette day!
There were four, but I only had time to do two. Might try the other two some other time because it's fun and I need to practice working with colors.
these are so pretty!! the colour pallets really fit the characters vibes, especially cassian, the autumn colours match his death theme so well!
I love glados to pieces. She's pretty similar to one of my comic characters, I love a woman who is also a massive terrifying machine, what can I say?
I like aspects of the human design, but It's not my best work. could do with another pass. but good enough for now.
Day 20: freebs, collabs, etc. week!

hell yeah you mad this dude look so ~elegant~ I love the delacate rendering on the hair, I find thin/sketchy line art to be a huge challenge - especially in digital art - so your line confidence and detail is super impressive!
The definition of candy gore is vague, I think its just using pastel colours when rendering organs. I am not shy when it comes to showing a dudes' innards (I have 2 intestine warnings in my comic) but I just didn't have any characters I felt like disembowelling. but Ira and the other reapers have this thing where they can turn a chunk of their soul essence into a small animal they share conciousness with but it also makes their bodies more translucent (full opacity=full soul, mid opacity=half soul, half projection, 0 opacity=full projection) I wanted to draw what that looks like in practice! this was also a new kind of rendering for me using only an airbrush and vibes. t'was fun.
Love that! The glow effect looks really nice and having two intestine warnings in your comic should count as an achievement. 
Oh, that's an interesting concept for the reapers. Never seen that before!

Day 23 was adult cartoon. so I did some tadc fanart, Kinger has always been my favourite character because I could feel the aura of a tragic comic relief coming off him - he likes bugs and his wife, he's great.
Been MIA because of the Tapas contest, lol. And that is definitely a no good, very bad day Njam's having. 
The effects look real nice though!
One of my first characters ever, Blaze! She's evolved over the years, but her main theme and the thing that stuck with all her derivatives is dimension-hopping. She is an ageless being with a couple of lackeys that she goes on adventures with (very doctor who-ish, specifically David Tennant's era). There were a bunch of very angsty things going on, her skin is a porcelain shell containing a demon, so that if she gets damaged or stressed the demon will take over, and she'll go feral. I made her when I was 12.
I got a lot better at naming characters over the years, her derivatives had names like Alice Faber, Ellowyn Parks. The latest version was Ailani Liu, and she was a scientist feeding into corporate greed to further her field of study before being torn apart across dimensions, and the demon within were the nanobots attempting to re-construct her.
I'm not a huge fan of the story any more, I used it for my senior design project, and it went poorly in a way that was completely out of my control, so I have negative associations with it. But the transformation of this character into her subsequent iterations is fun to look back on. Especially in relation to different characters from her 'generation'

@DualDragons Oh, cool! I haven't heard of that one but it sounds interesting. Yeah, I missed a couple days this past week, but it's still good to get a bit of extra practice
