This is a disclaimer that the comparison will not be fair, because it is obvious that I put more time and effort in my older drawings.

Almost 10 years later and he is still holding his cat

He spent too much time outdoor without his hoodie that his hair got sun bleached

This fellow's hair is getting lighter and curlier each year

Even if the concept remains, many still can change over time.

Oooh this seems like such a fun challenge! I love what others have posted! I write a novel so I don’t have that much but I want to at least show the difference between the characters I’ve drawn the most

it's funny because I recently updated the banner and artwork for my story and updated a few pages too, i didn't though to make a lot of changes in basically 4 years and still i want to improve more, i think i can make some improvements, but i think moments like this is when you can appreciate your changes

and this is something that i still think of, because actually Tom design came from another story i wanted to do, it was or it's called "Vodoo", Voodoo has a whole different story, has nothing to do with this one, but it had a similar concept, a guy who was shy, failed in love, but this story involved ghost and scary things （〇_ｏ) the design is similar, messy hair, glasses and a black jacket. Maybe someday i do this one, but i think is the least planned story i have.
The idea came in 2019, in that same year i planned the concept of I Fell in Love With a Prostitute, but it wasn't until 2021 that i work on it, this is the only SKETCH evidence i have from Voodoo from 2019, you can see the guy who looks like Tom, i had a very anime style back then.

i will say is not fair because one is traditional?? and the other digital. but i like the second one, for me it looks like you try to keep that traditional artstyle in the digital, specially because the background seems like it was made the same way, between harsh and soft brushes, and keeping the non black lineart, using the same blue lineart despite the character changes and still look good (･ω･)

Twiga and Shido were previous just one character named Shido, but while writing the draft I realized I needed to split them into two characters, because the story needed a character to diversify the interactions between the characters that the reader is going to follow throughout the story. So now I have three main characters: Nina, Twiga and Shido. Although, I had never written a story with three main characters prior to creating this comic, they have however, became my favorite character dynamics to write in general! Don't know if I will have this much fun writing a story ever again. lmao
