Oldie but newbie here :D Hello!

Hi! I'm new to Tapastic, just joined today as a creator (though I've been reading and subscribing to a bunch of series already).

I just wanted to introduce myself: my name is Carol, and I work in the game industry (have been for about 10 years now). I have always loved making comics and I used to have a comic before that had a fairly decent following but I stopped updating it after having written myself into a ditch

I discovered Tapastic just a day ago when I found out one of my friends publishing her comic here and looking through the app and the forums, I really liked what I saw: ease of reading and subscribing to series I like, and also a very nice and helpful community (I stalked the forums for a day :D)

Anyway, I'm trying to get back into making webcomics again, and thought that this would be a great place to publish my strips. My series is called Draw. Write. Play. and it's just about me and my partner and life with our cats. I only have the intro page up but I thought I'd share it anyway.

Sorry for the long intro, looking forward to participating on the site more.

Hi Carol and welcome to the forums (and to tapastic as an creator I guess )

Can I ask what kind of work you do in the game industry? Sounds interesting. I'll take a look on your comic. Do you have twitter or any other internet site you're active on? I myself just noticed how much they improve your relationships with other creators and comic promoting so I warmly recommend trying it out.

I'm Niina and currently an art education student (after that I want to to get degree from animation since I'm now studying it in exchange and loving every minute of it). I also started to publish my own comic here couple months ago.. or maybe half a year, it's starting to get blurry. Numb is long running mystery comic about ghosts and confused people. Little Tales on the other hand is a collection of shorter stories and updates more randomly. Take a look if you wish. I guess I'll see you around the forums!

I'm a 2D game artist for casual games to be more specific. I'm also on a bunch of other sites but I'm most active - I guess - on Tumblr (though I only really update once every one or two weeks). Hi Carol! Welcome to the ranks of Tapastic-creators!

I've done some 2D-game work myself (character and some environment illustrations for an indie RPG still in development), and would love to do more of it - it was fun!

You comic looks great - I just subscribed.

Some handy tips - if you want your series-link to show up nice and blue and clickable, write the title of it, then highlight that text, and click the little chain-link symbol above the text-field:

and then paste the URL you want it to link to there, and it'll show up like so: Write Draw Play. Also, Tapastic doesn't link your forum profile to your main-site profile, so you might wanna put a link to your series there, too, just to make it easier for people to find. : )

Thanks for the welcome Hahaha, i like how Tap is shorthand for Tapastic. It's like a cool bar name. "Hey, I'll be hanging out at the Tap."
