Ebay and Etsy are scams lmfao

I closed my phone account with Virgin mobile for me overpaying and they kept charging me full amounts, and the sales rep agreed I overpaid by $300 and said I would be refunded. I got a collections letter in the mail for $300 instead and it tanked my credit lmfao

Also, that $2.50 reminded me when I worked kitchen at a camp in a remote area and left early cause I got so sick and they sent me my pay my check months later... for $2.50. They charged me for room and board plus transportation...

FedEx also sent me to collections... for mail they never handled. I got something delivered through Canada Post, paid customs through Canada post, and then FedEx sent me a bill in the mail for customs... 2x what I paid already. I already paid customs and double taxation is against the law so I argued and sent them the paid invoice and showed they never handled it. They said ok, then I got the letter for collections lmfao $80 for a $20 item through USPS/Canada Post...

I dunno about USA, but here in Canada a minor cannot be held liable for any debt because they cannot legally sign or be subjected to a contract.

I had an eBay business in the late 90's and early 2000's designing and selling automotive electronic components. I was making a good living at it, but when the economy pooped the bed in 2008 I pulled the plug on eBay. Actually, the economy tanking was only the final straw. eBay had been making things more and more unpleasant for years and it was no longer enjoyable. The economy made it unprofitable. I bailed. And when I did, I diddled eBay out of about $250 in listing fees. Thankfully my account was in my business name, which was a limited liability company. When the business folded the debt disappeared.

You really shouldn't be admitting this on a public forum. If worst comes to the worst, they could use it against your dad in court.
Anyway, a contract signed by a minor often isn't legitimate
