Hello Tapas Forum! Nite's here, and has been a while, Work, life, stuff, took terapy, quit my day job and so on.

I've bring you a question + sugestion.

Quite some time ago I did the 100 faces challenge, it took me a week to do it, and was a curious experience, every face I made was from a photo reference and I feel it helped me out in that aspect (a pitty after that I took vacations from drawing anything, like a month and lost a lot of hand)

So I've been practicing again to regain some lost skill and I've been rambling the idea in my head to do another 100 challenge, but what should I do?

Another 100 faces? 100 hands? 100 Poses ? 100 Buildings?

I invite you to join the challenge, Make a sugestion for me of a 100 things to draw and if you're willing to take this challenge with me let your social media were you'll be posting your drawings to follow along!

My first thought? 100 flowers. Though the idea in my head is more like matching 100 OCs to a flower, since flowers can have so many meanings

The 100 challenge is an interesting idea but it's definitely going to be time consuming

My first thought is 100 cars, or 100 guns. But cars are better, there is more room for scenery IMHO.
Maybe I should do this challenge on my own, this would be really awesome to draw. Maybe this challenge will cheer me up, or not.

Hey, maybe asides your 100 challenges it would be cool if you started a thread in the forum to collect 100 faces/hands/objects from all the artists here, not many of us can't make 100 drawings for each challenge, BUT each one of us can make one drawing and collectively make it to the 100 mark! :smiley:

personally i like the ideas of something themed like @praelia mentioned like flowers, though flora certainly isn't a strong suit of mine :sweat_smile:

This one is interesting for sure, nevertheless would be more a creative exccercise than a basics excercise, since would be creating a concept art taking a reference, this one would be very time consuming

Both sounds awesome, and wouldn't add scenery since would be focusing in the cars. I actually like a lot the idea of 100 cars, seems challenging but fair enough!.

and love all the sugestions, the one that seems more challenging would be 100 unusual face structures, cause either way would mean to find unusual faces as reference or to build unusual faces.

I like the idea too but not because of the flowers but the idea of concept art. nevertheless in that case should do first 100 flowers to then proceed to do 100 flower based characters imo.

Well, I'm down to make the flowers challenge one. Thought in all honesty I could only do pencil sketches since the digital drawing will be a lot more time consuming for me, but I'm not exactly a fast person either, plus I have a few projects I need to finish. :3

And facial expressions one is good too since we can practice with with drawing them.

And maybe for additional thing if you want more ideas, you can do hand gestures, shoes, clothing, hats, hairs.

How about 100 Hair styles?

Gosh, I used to do that all the time XD Was so fun to come up with the different colors for them too!

The 100 faces seems like a cool idea for me!

I did this one a few years back after realizing I had read very few "classic" books and took the list from here...

Let me warn you... too many of these in a row can get HEAVY. It seems most classics are not wrote by "happy" people.

well I managed to do the 100 with fair ease, and I would go pencil sketchy all the way too. also...
Drawing clothing for me feels Like hanging out with that crush, like ahhhhh, DO WANT

umm, this would be really interesting too, but from what source would you take references? or build them from imagination?

And not drawing destryed mines xD, I'm really into that one

I could do this one and read few of the classics, but most of the books would be text books refering art and so on xD. do those count?

I'd rather do 100 backgrounds of one theme and I would set the challenge for 10 days.

I would go the extra mile and instead of cats felines or instead of dogos canines.

I like the idea of 100 Swords? I often have a lot of trouble thinking of weapons, so that'd be good practice. Or maybe 100 Gems; I just... kinda like drawing jewels. XD
100 Faces would be incredibly fun to try! 100 Hairstyles kinda goes hand in hand with that for me.

100 tardigrades would make me very happy :slight_smile: or 100 axolotls. Totally challenges I would do if more time.
