Paintstorm - Anybody Try it yet? New Software

There's a new kid on the block. But it's not on the MAc and I can't use it right now. Has anybody used it yet?

I've used it, yeah.

I find it works best for backgrounds, especially landscapes. It has a nifty perspective feature that will clamp your brush size to the "distance" you're drawing at. It also has nice natural media brush behavior, like oils. Creating texture is quite fun with this program. In my workflow, personally, I use it as one step in the process: painting backgrounds. I'll take the results out of Paintstorm and clean them up a bit in Photoshop. Paintstorm can open/save layers in .psd files so it's pretty easy.

Wow! This looks like a cool program! I don't really employ a painted look in my comics but I do enjoy the aesthetic.

I've tried a trail version. It looked pretty cool, but expired after few hours ; v;
But yeah, a lot of options and quite intuitive in use ♥

Grrr it looks actually pretty cool. My one true problem is trying to create backgrounds as detailed as my characters, which doesn't only take forever, but also doesn't look as nice/natural as I'd like. Right now I'm looking at just using textured brushes in Photoshop, but this looks like something I can use for backgrounds. I'll have to try it out.

I bought Paintstorm yesterday after having tested a few hours. it's an amazing software for painting, as the software Painter. It's simple and intuitive, there are a lot of brushes. All brushes are customisable. It can work with PSD and wacom tablet... and it costs 19€ !

Ooh, definitely looks interesting! I'm not usually the painter type, but I do sometimes, so I might check out the trial at least and see how it is.
