Old post but just want to throw out there that a huge part of me getting anything done was to edit down my workload so I wasn't doing tons of like...acrylic illustrations per page. I went digital to save time, I use Lazy Nezumi for it's very quick perspective and smoothing tools (which is also because I use photoshop, I know a lot of people with clip studio don't need it), I got a bunch of hot keys and actions that I set up in Photoshop to save time, and I have a pipeline I follow because if you do every page with the same pipeline you learn how to do things quicker.
And which time savers you need differ between artists and art styles, but I would research what other professionals are doing to save time as they draw in styles similar to your own. 5 or 15 minutes shaved here and there make a huge difference when you're doing hundreds of panels.
And, if there's a part of he process of making your comic that you really, really hate, there may be a way to automate it or at least make it easier. So like, I hate filling in areas for painting (I get around this in my current comic by removing color entirely) --but Clip Studio has a feature that does that really quickly so I can get it wrapped up in 15 minutes or less instead of like...45 minutes. It makes the whole experience more fun and less like work because I can focus on the part of illustration that I like to do.
