Philippine comic magazine/spreading your comics around the nation/ EARN as a filipino creator

Im creating a site for the creators in the ph, there will be multiple categories to post: comic, novels, and art. there will be a forums section and an event section so the creators can really get involve with the site. Reason why this is selective and restricted to only the people in the ph first is because Im thinking of when creators get enough followers and likes they will get printed copies along with the other creators. This will be by month if this project turns out well. Creators only need the following of 2K people and must be personally liked by me. The money will be earn by ads on your comic.

okay so I have connections and i was thinking about having a site put up for Filipinos or anyone in the Philippines. So this is how it will work just like any other comic site you will be able to post a comic and if it for example reaches 2k subs it will be featured in the home page of the site... once you are featured you will have to post in a uniform manner and delete your comic from other sites. Once you have enough pages we will print a monthly issue with your comics along with other artists, i want these to be sold in convenience stores and bookstores. comics can be written in Tagalog or English. the format of comics should be in a way it could be printed

Trust me, I want to try but you said it requires 2k+ subs. That is like a huge number and nearly impossible for me to reach that atm.

I also think you should lower the number of subs, when I've seen it I was like "What ?! That's enormous for a new site !" If you want to succeed in your project you should lower some expectations about start off the bat success. I'm sure it's gonna be great and it's a very good idea !

It's nice but 99% of my readers are foreigners and none of my friends IRL read my work. Even if that following is reduced to 500, it will still be out of reach.

The thing is, 2k is a really hard number to reach here on Tap. Only a handful of forum members here have that kind of number and I'm including international there. Also, if there are Filipino creators who has a super popular comic, chances are they're not hanging around in the forums.

Also, you said that you must personally like the comic. Honestly, I don't even have a single clue if you checked my comic or Mappy's or any comics made by my fellow countrymen. So I'm like sensing a little bias here. Like you're only giving opportunity on people you only like and not for everyone else.

Like I said, I want to try but I'm not qualified based on your requirements.

So if you like to handpick comics, I suggest approaching the creators personally on their Tap walls and tell them about your project or check around facebook groups and post about your project there. they normally like to hang around facebook than here.

What you're proposing is like line webtoon but with prints and ads. But the problem is money, I do think that you'll atleast need to work with a publishing company for the rights of the comics, cause deleting it from the other sites is quite a big deal. Creators gains money from other sites, unless the money to be made is quite good or fixed, I don't see the point in deleting. Creators need to earn. Also, I want to clarify if the money earned on ads is only applicable to the featured comics. I do think this idea is great, it'll be like ad revenue from tapastic and the common enemy is adblockers. You could also make a membership? plan to gain more incentives, like if they're a member they automatically receive a monthly shipped magazine and get to read the featured ones.
