Pinned Comments

I appreciate that the newest layout requires a comment on each page and that the "top comment" feature is the simplest way to do that. But would an option to manually pin a top comment as a creator ever be possible? Top doesn't always mean best.

I'll first acknowledge that staff at present has their hands tied wrangling bots but I would absolutely like to have the power to pin my favorite comment than it being the one with the most interactions (a la facebook style)

I've seen some "top comments" that have been kind of unpleasant so its among the reasons why I'll sometimes just kinda skate by the comment section and focus on the reading only. A few fun or interesting ones pop up but to have control over whats there as a creator would be kinda nice

That's an interesting idea! I like it! The current system perhaps used a term that isn't the most accurate? I think "popular" would have been more appropriate? Perhaps there could be change in the term "best" to "popular"? Because popular means that a lot of people like it but doesn't insinuate that it's the best. And then there can also be an author's top pinned comment ^^
