Your art is amazing! You'll likely get a lot of interest with talent like that, so I'm unsure whether to attempt entering something myself. If there's a certain theme or genre you'd like to work with, perhaps I could try something there. I have dozens of ideas, but I'm always coming up with new ones.

Does it matter if the idea or pitch is an original of mine instead of the prompts you provided? I'm also more of a novelist but if you prefer scripts I could give it a shot. I really like your art style and it seems suited for a romance/fantasy setting perhaps.

@Rattlecake ahh thank you!! i like slice-of-life vibes that don't take themselves too seriously and romance is nice, but shouldn't be the main focus/end-goal. it can be a little weak on its own, so i figured adding a mystery or fantasy element would spice things up and give the plot some direction / the characters something to do. i wonder if this is too specific haha i'll be considering all the submissions i receive, in any case !

@Arvo aw thanks! i was leaning towards that kind of setting too. & sure ! the prompts are just there to give you an idea of what i'm into & serve as suggestions to inspire you :^) i can work off of novels/fics (an old example from 2016), but it translates a little awkwardly into comic form since i'm not sure which parts should be drawn or not. some description/narration might be omitted from the final cut, so this could be discouraging for a novelist who treasures each word they write. in that sense, scripts would be more efficient. i wouldn't turn down a well-written novel though!!! these are just some things to consider

I narrowed down the prompts to just one (It was so hard to do!) but I've got two directions it can go towards Between the two would you be more keen on working on more of a romantic/mystery(ish) or more adventure type of genre?

Hey, if you're still looking for a writer, i would like to avoid a certain issue my writing style comes into with your submission form. a can write in a LOT of styles so to start on the right foot i generally like to talk to an artist and find out more about what they like and what they want to bring to a story. Essentially, i'm very versatile and passionate about a wide range of genres and topics pm me if u want to setup a discord chat for a few minutes and i will make you a demo within an hour of our meeting finishing

@leagueshark ah yes thank you! my submission system definitely has its limitations/flaws so i understand your concerns. the form is just the quickest way for me to get a sneak-peek/teaser into what (and how) you like to write personally. you're right that it's hard to know whether you'll match with someone based on only a short blurb, so i'd follow-up and take it to discord after that initial point of contact. kind of like setting up an interview after screening resumes if that makes sense? if you have examples of multiple styles that won't fit in the submission box, feel free to drop a link to it instead! i have a pinterest linked to give a rough idea of what i'm into-- but just in case, i went back and edited the first post to specify genre/style too. i hope that helps!

Working with someone like you would be a dream! I have a script for a Romance sci-fi/fantasy, I could cut it down into a one shot (10 parts x 10 pages Webtoon format-ish) if you'd be interested? It is tropy, and smexy, but NOT explicit! My kinks are kdrama style if you know what I mean? Longing sideglances, accidental touching, electrictrical skinship situations.

(i was going to ask if it was explicit so thanks for the heads up wwww) i'm a total sucker for tropes so i think we'd get along very well. i also checked out your series "boys will be boys" and i'm super impressed ! did you draw everything out yourself? the shots are really dynamic and detailed A++ :-0

i originally wanted to do a oneshot because i didn't think anyone would want to invest in a long-running series with an amateur like me;;; but if the story is promising and a writer is willing, i'd be 100% down for a 50/50 partnership ! reference pictures, moodboards, and storyboards are super appreciated and i can definitely help out with the editing. ahhh i'm so excited,, it'd be a pleasure to work with you !!!
