Guys.
A poorly made collab request does not make it okay to get pissed at somebody for it, nor does it make it okay to make a satirical post making fun of them and similar users for making lower quality posts. Like seriously?? All it takes is one person to just be like, "hey, adding some more info about the project would benefit you, here's a few links to other collab posts that give plenty of info and get a lot of attention as a result"
More to the point, it's be nice if y'all would check how long a user's been on here before saying something. Those of us on here who frequently come here see these and get tired of them, and have even made full-on discussions about those posts, meanwhile new users might not even know that this is an issue on the forums. How are you gonna get mad at them for some unofficial rule they might've never known about?
And even further than that, what if behavior like that pushes them off of the site in general?? They try asking for help and instead someone tells 'em their post sucks, people dogpile on the poor newbie, or maybe they even get made fun for it in a separate thread?? All of that from people who were never even remotely interested in the collab in the first place! Imagine of one of their friends is considering looking into the forums, and this user's response is just telling 'em "nah, don't even go there, that place is so condescending and elitist, it's so not worth your time. i asked for help and got ganged up on for not asking correctly"
I'm just fed up with this type of response, man. The artist vs. writer threads give me the same type of vibes, but that's a topic for another day. All in all, we've already said everything we've needed to say and have a tendency to repeat ourselves to people who don't know any better, and that really sucks for those on the receiving end of that. Like, is it that hard to just politely tell 'em to add more?? Y'all be wildin sometimes
I dunno what else to add to this, thanks for coming to my ted talk
