Can the quote be from a chapter not released yet? - I have 50 draft chapters lined up. XDD

"What is your problem with him?" the boy asked seeing the overly dramatic displeased face.
"Straight man with morals... count me out." the demon replied, strolling towards the kitchen.

“Yes, you are, my precious Iola.” Haas’ bright eyes softened. “I am ready to fly to my freedom.”

“Then why are we still standing around here talking?” Dacia shook her head exasperatedly. “Let’s go.”

The worry in this strangers' eyes made her stifle her chuckles, blinking before lifting her shoulders, her eyes downcast as his interest made her uncomfortable.

"You all right?"

If she had lighter skin, her burning ears would be as red as her hair. She scowled again, "Yeah. It's cool".

“The fresh air of the mountains... on my face and in my hair” Iola murmured to herself. “I never thought I would miss that so much.”

“You’ll have to miss that for a while longer, little one.” Dacia’s strong voice startled her. She was yet to getting accustomed to the mercenary’s acute sense of hearing.

Matt gave a humorless chuckle as he opened his second can of beer. “Say that ten years ago and people think you’re fucking Jesus Christ curing cancer, AIDS and all that shit. Say it now and people think you’re a murderer.”

Lou’s head shot up. “I-I didn’t think that,” she said but the inflection in her tone betrayed her guilt.

"Did you watch the man who lived in this room?" The speech was alien in every way from the other languages he knew from the way his mouth couldn't properly produce a shape to match the words to how his voice originated from a place where a voice ought not to arise.
"Yes."

This is from an experimental screenplay (which I'm not currently publishing on Tapas)

"Why are you dancing in my uncle's basement?"
"The best questions are those that remain unanswered."

Quite evidently, it's a comedy.

It's a screenplay, the feelings are conveyed in the direction notes, which I didn't include in the excerpt.

Colour drained from Castiel’s face.
“Send someone after me? Like a hitman?”
“What? No! He wouldn’t do that. He’d send a detective at most, but he knows I’d be angry about that, so I don’t think he’d do it either.”

(from a chapter that hasn't been uploaded yet)

He looked out that large window in the living room, biting his lip, "How much would you give me?"

Another answer, echoed sweetly in his ears, a response in her voice, leaving pleasurable shivers down his spine, "Everything."

Summary

“So... so then you intended just to be with me all along.” Iola looked deep into Dacia’s brown eyes. “The six gold coins for the mission was just a ruse... to get close to me.”

“Well, I did want to help you on your mission.” Dacia sat up and scratched her exposed navel. “I just didn’t want to scare you off by offering my mercenary services for free.”

“I… can’t.” Her body shook, the words coming out as a strangled cry.

“Hey.” Matt’s breath came out in a raspy sigh. A trembling finger touched her hand, bringing her attention to his face. “Think of it this way. I have nothing more to live for.”
