At the call of his name, he looked at me, sizing up my exhaustion in one glance. He nodded his head as he said, “Yeah, I guess we can rest for a bit.” He looked at Niobe, Ryo, and Taja before he asked, “Where’s our room?”
Taja muffled a laugh as Ryo’s eyes widened in panic. She looked towards Niobe like she was drowning. Niobe simply nodded before saying, “I’m sorry, but we cannot prohibit Lady Samara to sleep in the same room as…” her moss green eyes looked him over as if trying to determine what he was. “…you.”
“Hey,” he chuckled. “Better than going on a date to watch paint dry.”
“Oh, my god. When are you going to let that go?” I rolled my eyes at him. “Besides, what can I do, I take the offers that come my way.” I shrugged, nonchalantly.
