I recently found my old old notebooks, and I found my oc's first ever drawing! It is.... [image] Hm. and then compared to my official "profile" for him now: [image] So show me some similar changes! I'm interested to see.

This is the first human character I drew.

Aaaah, damn would I love to go and find my actual first human drawing, because I'd be horendous, but all of my older sketchbooks are stored away... So... I think this one comes close

The first one must have been like... 2013/2014, while the second one was two days ago

I don't have these ancient records unfortunately, as I am a little over 30 (or those memories. I have not too many memories left of being younger than 12.)

But I do have some old ass .bmp files, feast upon how good I was in High School. My first digital stuff with my first tablet (which was a 70$ offbrand I got for christmas and on a cheap program that came with the tablet that only let you paint on 1 layer.):

Yousee my Angelfire website was under construction, and in ancient times we had to let people know by putting construction equipment all over it. Pretty sure I never finished constructing this page this fairy was in.

Anyways I draw people like this now. So time and practice make a difference.

I probably can't find the oldest without going to my parents house and rooting around, so we'll have to make do with something from when I was fourteen because like.... yeah I'm 35 and I've been drawing for a looooong time.

These are elves but I think elves count right?

They were from an idea about kids who find a portal to a magical world. It was kind of my first foray into drawing in a manga-influenced style because I'd just discovered Digimon and was entranced by it (my drawings before this were all Warhammer related. Lots of squinting Space Marines! Hahaha!).

Ah geez, for recent stuff, in terms of drawing humans I've pretty much only been drawing pages lately (my drawings for work have been of animals....), so here's the Errant cover as if nobody's seen that already hahaha.

I like that you still see the love of bright colors in hair of the new pictures that were in the hair of the earlier pictures--it's a fun signature you've kept over time.

@CommanderMarty man, this is some great art progress you have here, watching your drawings for some time!
Unfortunately, I don't have the first first, cause I'm doing it since forever, but these should be close enough.

OK so this isn't the first human character I've drawn but definitely one of the earliest, it's from 2008 I believe.
Funnily enough, both pictures depict the same character.

It’s not the oldest (my oldest is my first that I still have) but this is the oldest digital piece that I could find.

I had to go to Deviantart. Looks like I mostly used to draw chibies and animal type characters (I used to sell breedables on Gaia Online Lol!)

Look how cute colourful everything was. I can see some Sirens appearing there too (this is 2006ish).

I think my hands have improved a lot (which I used to hide!), but I can't really escape drawing them with Genii, as it's all about his bloomin' hand.

Alright so...the earliest picture of a human character I have on my phone is from 2009...and it's also got a non-human too.

And the latest picture with a human-like(elf) character from like 3 weeks ago.

I've been drawing for...well...ever since I can remember at age 4 or 5, and now I'm 32 so..
I've been drawing for a freaking long time. Unfortunately I don't have access to the majority of my childhood drawings.

It was a little while ago I drew and completed a piece with one of my own characters in it, but this is a somewhat accurate representation of where I'm currently at, even though it was created this spring !
