When the world began a great war spread across it, Demons battled for control. They were so powerful that every creature came together to eliminate the demons. Elves, Orcs, Dragons Giants, Witches and even humans came together; however, it was a losing battle and the demons were close to taking over. Then the fateful and final day of the war arrived, the sun that came up carried power and strength for the allied army as it shone a dazzling white light on them. The demons were pushed back and finally defeated just before the day ended, although not all were killed. The Demons who had survived disappeared. Said to be a gift from the gods who watched over, the light that shone on the Demons weakening them and giving the allied army immense power was called the White Dawn.
Many centuries later, after the war had ended, with the Demons gone the world was vastly populated with humans. The creatures who had fought alongside the humans had vanished. Humans had passed along the powers they had received in the battle of the White Dawn to their children who learnt to wield magic, a majority of humans now possess magical abilities although not every human does. They now roamed the world occupying six great nations, they were: Icratis, Vonaelia, Khegia, Qennaria, Aredal, Estya and found in these nations were peasants, commoners and nobles who were protected by mages and knights. Ruling over them each nation had powerful Kings and Queens who looked after their people with magic power beyond all others.
In the small town of Aynor, lying on the border of Icratis, was a place full of peasants. Many of the residents there have no magic and barely any money to survive. In the centre of town there was a bustling tavern, broken windows and spilled drinks littered the wooden floors. The majority of people were walking around with their knees buckling beneath them, their eyes running around as their speech was slurred beyond understanding.
