Mmhm! It was a bit of a journey to get there tbh.
The assignment is to illustrate a fairy tale.
I chose Jack and the beanstalk because there's no romance. And no weird dub con kissing and marrying.
But as I worked out the story a bit more, I realized that Jack kinda sucks.
He dooms him and his mom when he sells their cow for beans.
He steals stuff.
And then when he finally gets found out and runs, he kills the ogre.... Who got mad because Jack literally broke into his home and stole his valuables.
..... I really don't like the morals here.
So I'm flipping it around.
The mom will be content with the giant beans... Pretty sellable and edible after all.
Jack goes on his adventures despite her warnings and worry because he's not satisfied with just that, when there's so many more treasures up there.
In the end the mother saves him by chopping off the beanstalk when he gets chased.
And is like "No riches in this world are worth losing you."
And then they hug and blah.
Maybe a Lil bit flat, but welp.
