Aina has a few badass moments, but I think this is a good (if slightly terrifying) one from what's already published
[CW: Blood/Gore]
Aina blinked.
With a breath she fell back inside herself, giving up control to the creature wrapped around her soul.
Instantly things cleared. The noises filtered out, becoming a din that wrapped around her rather than hammered nails into her skull, the strobing lights helped rather than hindered, and the beautiful stench of blood filled her nostrils. It was the promise of the fight, the kill, the hot meat sliding down her throat as she tore it with her quivering jaws.
Inside herself, Aina recoiled and shut her eyes.
Outside, she began to move, slipping around Holmgeir and the Seacrows beginning to consolidate and look for new targets, questioning glances followed her, mouths opening with words she could not hear, but the blue eyes of the other Hearthknight instantly understood. The spear was already moving before Aina had passed completely.
With a roar the Frekir barrelled into the barn and Aina slipped to the side, striking with her axe, putting the monster off balance as it barrelled past, juddering to a screaming stop as it met the unstoppable force that was the set spear of Holmgeir. It thrashed, pulling the weapon from her grip and swinging wildly with its claws.
Fixated, unblinking, Aina was already closing with an overhand swing, putting her entire arm and shoulder into it as she hacked into the Frekir’s neck. It screamed, it thrashed, but she hacked again and again and again, heart pounding like a wild drum in her chest, breath heaving, warm arterial blood flying across her with every strike.
